Alright what did you think of the new voices? Could you honestly even tell the difference? Like honesty, if you didn't know about the whole Roiland thing...could you even tell
You might have to go check your ears if you don't notice the difference but the voices are good enough to still enjoy the show. Rick is the most noticeable to me but i am relieved the show is not over even tho is gonna be a little less funny without Roiland. Very good job from new voice actors and AS to not go in a Solar Opposites direction
I love it when there's just four of y'all, I just feel like it's the optimum number what are my attention doesn't get spread out too many different directions and I'm able to appreciate everybody's input
Honestly I really don’t mind them! There’s a couple small things that stood out but like I straight up forgot Mr Poopybutthole was also voiced by Justin. Like it’s not that big a deal, and I liked how chill this episode was, like business as usual instead of making a big thing out of it
I always gain a tremendous amount of respect for actors who are the actual voices of their character cameos in shows like this. It's good business (exposure, money, and the respect gained) AND it shows the actor/actress can take being made fun of, and actively participates in it. I would consider it a great honor to be approached with something like this if I was a celebrity.
As a fellow Australian, I wasn't surprised Jackman participated - we're known for our ability to take the piss out of ourselves and his interactions with Ryan Reynolds kinda prove it, he's worked with animation before in Koala Man, and tbh, the dude is just a legend :)
I really dont understand why people in the internet hate this episode. I know it's not the best one out of the show, but I really had fun with this episode. By the end of it, I totally forgot about the new voices.
It's just 90% people just complaining about the voice actor changes and trying to blame everything on woman writers. Not like they are not going to watch it they just like to complain because they probably can't get laid lol.
See they didn’t even notice that Mr Poopybutthole is also a new VA, I don’t understand why people complain about the changes just enjoy the show for what it is
ngl Mr Poopy Butthole is the most noticeable one for me, if people didn't notice his VA change then they probably wouldn't notice it for Rick and Morty either if there wasn't a formal announcement 😅
@@ShadyPaperclipsMPBs voice is really noticable. Rick and Morty are only subtly deeper than they were before. You won't notice if you haven't listened to the old voices recently.
The voices are good so far. No one can beat what family guy did with hiring Azerrz, who had been doing Cleveland impressions for almost a decade at that point, but whoever hired these impressionists did a good job.
The end of the episode where Mr. Poopy Butthole narrates what happens to his friends as they all fade out is a reference to the end of Stand By Me. This is the second time this show has referenced that film. The first was in The Ricklantis Mixup.
I noticed the new voices instantly. They're fine, but my criticism would be they're too smooth. Roiland was much more gravelly with Rick and whiny with Morty; it had more personality and range.
22:14 I just want to say that, Suraj, before you even consider it, watch the clip from Archer, "Archer gets waterboarded". Because THAT actually convince me to NEVER get waterboarded.
I think the new voices are great. My friends didn't even watch this season solely because of the new voices. They immediately dropped the whole show because they judged the new VA's right away.
They did great but Morty has the most noticeable changes. Rick is straigt crazy how close they got, both to be honest. We wont even notice the tiny stuff eventually
The voices are pretty good but just different enough to take me out of it I'm not sure why. Rick sounds like he's sober or something. His talking voice is pretty good but his loud or yelling voice isn't as comfortable. In my opinion.
Didn’t mind the new voices, the writing wasn’t good though in this episode. It felt like they relied too much on the characters talking and explaining the joke that it ruined a lot of punchlines. Letting the characters do things and letting lines breathe felt like it was missing.
19:53 nobody but an alcoholic or addict should be running an intervention. Y’all missed the mark on that one. Obviously a sober alcoholic/addict not one in their active addiction.
The "thruple" thing is dead. Beth and Space Beth haven't been physical with each other since that episode. According to the writing staff at "Rick & Morty," the last several seasons, they only time they ever saw or heard from Roiland was when he came to record the voices, so the comedic side of the show is not going to be affected by him being gone.
If you take this episode and put it to the standards of other Rick and Morty Season opening episodes it's super mid, almost bad for an e1. But if you use this to introduce the new VA's it's actually pretty good
honestly, the new voices kinda suck, Rick the most, sounds like hes just incapable of holding the raspyness of his voice, Morty is slightly better but the voice is just barely too deep. That said though, it doesn't really matter, the stories are what's fun, this episode was meh for me but now with Ep 2, im looking forward to the season.
Fun Fact there’s a current short comic series which Wolverine is fighting a Predator. Also the gun gift is from Predator 2 which I also highly recommend y’all watch after the first one! :D
Justin Roiland hasn't been in the writing room since season two. And while that is my favorite season, there have been plenty of great episodes since then.
Is it just me or does the animation look a tiny bit less on point that earlier seasons? A little sloppy even? Those cops in the post credit looked more like they'd come out of Bob's Burgers with the eyes and shapes of the head
Cant even lie…I was one of the people who was completely done with Rick and Morty after they fired Justin. But….the new voices are *damn* spot on. I actually forgot they recasted him early in the episode. Also, *HUGH JACKMAN CAME IN TO VOICE THIS?!🤣*

adult swim did a great job recasting. but at least roilands production company is still working on the show lol
Actually it's 3 different people Mr. PoopyButhole is voiced by someone else as well
You might have to go check your ears if you don't notice the difference but the voices are good enough to still enjoy the show. ruined the show tbh

13:26 everybody on the couch should have a sitcom outro like this 😂
They'd probably get sued by ABC for over-using that "Full House" theme music.
There are times when people forget this show has new voice actors. That’s how you know they’re good. Bravo, adult swim.👏
Ngl Morty is spot on. Rick is still pretty good.
Y'all didn't watch TAWOG?
what people?
@@gigimc what do you think?
@@dexkani9993 what does that show have to do with this one? Apart from them also getting new voice actors?
Not gonna lie, the end credit clip for this episode is one of my favorites that they’ve ever done for this show. I love how stupid it is 😂

Morty sounds like the original; however, Rick voice sounds like he’s sober lol. I’m guessing the “Mr.” characters were all voiced by Justin.
14:49 Suraj's laugh sounds exactly like the npc villager crying on the Viva La Dirtleague YT channel.
I really dont understand why people in the internet hate this episode. I know it's not the best one out of the show, but I really had fun with this episode. By the end of it, I totally forgot about the new voices.
Out of the new episodes out so far this is definitely the weakest of the lot
because the rick and morty fandom is insufferable. you enjoy the show a lot more the more you stay away from them
@@broomy1610There’s literally been two of them. Thats saying nothing.

Yeah, I love that movie
How Stella got her groove back, and Sam Worthington… Normies being Normies
Look away kid! Look away? Just stop killing him! Lol 12:01
12:06 omg she savage and I’m here for it. Rick and Morty are rickety back baby.
The funniest thing about Rick's new voice is that he now sounds sober. Prolly since he now has printed cheeks to look after that much time.
13:30 Okay, that was brilliant...!
13:27 That is effing hilarious because Chris does look like Reginald Veljohnson now lmao 😂
I can barely tell Rick's voice is different. I CANNOT tell Morty's voice is different.
I don't think any other animated TV series makes you wanna see the voice cast at the end credits more than "Rick & Morty" does.
16:40 Rana! That's Julie from Friends!

Chris looks so good with the stache
I 200% agree with you guys, the voice of Rick is flawless!
The only thing the new guy is lacking in is the phycotic scream, it was pretty lackluster in the trailer, but other than that it's gud 😅
… Have you guys not seen “Stand By Me”?
I think the new voices are great. My friends didn't even watch this season solely because of the new voices. They immediately dropped the whole show because they judged the new VA's right away.
8:15 birdperson is awesome
Chris got the Op-stache
I'm glad they gave Amy that voice if she had had a regular voice I would have felt bad when they were hurting the predator
I mean Hugh just announced his divorce, so he mighty be open to try new things, you know?

"Forget it, Suraj...it's Gene..."
Suraj's hair is starting to look a lot like Pavitr's in Across the Spider-Verse.
Was that really Hugh Jackman doing his own voice?
Lauren Tom was great in her breif episodes in one season of Supernatural
"The Sandlot" 70's reference.
Yeah just fyi, they confirmed Deadpool 3 will still be rated R
i can hear the difference but they are amazing replacements
There is a slight difference in the voices but its so close you don't notice after a few minutes.
That hair Suraj. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
I think Morty's spot on. Rick's a little too "clean" for my taste, the voice feels less lived in...if that makes any sense.

The voices are ok, the episodes suck though..
I gave up on thid season 5 minutes into hearing the new voices. Its quite awful.
Bring back Justin. He co founded show.
I can't believe how less funny the show has become then I found out they said they hired more female writers and I was like oh that makes sense lol.
