If I EVER spoke to my mom like these two petulant kids are, she would have knocked me into next year. And they way they were speaking and treating their grandfather. Unacceptable, all the way around. And how are they still upright and not choking and coughing up their lung breathing in all that ash with nothing covering their mouths and noses? Writers didn't think a lot of things through.
With this ash in their lungs they will die soon...

I REALLY LOVE GRAMPS ❤️.. I'M NOT CRAZY WITH THE WAY THE WAY THE REST OF THE FAMILY TREATED HIM. THEY WEREN'T EXACTLY ALL OUT MEAN TO HIM BUT THEY WOULD GIVE FAMILY HUGS AND HE'D WAIT SORT OUT OF THE WAY. HE JUST SEEMED TO BE AN INCONVENIENCE SOMETIMES. I THINK GIVING GRAMPS A BIG CUDDLE 😊❤ A KISS 💋 😘 😗 😚 ON HIS CHEEKS WAS CALLED FOR SEVERAL TIMES..
AT THE END WHEN THE FAMILY WERE ALL IN THE CAVE 4 WERE HUGGING EACH OTHER BUT AGAIN GRAMPS WAS NOT INCLUDED FOR A BIT. AND THEN HE WASN'T REALLY INCLUDED IN THE FAMILY HUGS BCUZ HE JUST STOOD BEHIND AND PUT ME HIS ARMS AROUND THEM.

Did this disaster fall upon this family alone? I mean... although they mentioned that the town doesn't exist anymore...yet is it possible that no other character apart from this family didn't existed or survived?... Utterly unbelievable and unnatural and disgusting

Thank you for, finally, having them grow up and show respect for their elders. Also, thank you for allowing the Grandpa to come out of this alive, instead of being the usual "sacrificial lamb."

Unfortunately, I’ve known siblings that fought and bickered just as much as these two, including my own. Hormones are chaotic in teens and make them be all about themselves.
Side note: most teens I have encountered wouldn’t dare disrespect their parents or grandparents like these two did.

This movie is interesting, however Emma, Ian and Grandpa in the bomb shelter in the lower part of the house, while their mother and father is out there fighting fire. Now that grandpa home is up in ruins mother and father have to do something and fast. Emma, Ian and grandpa is going through hell, while mother is saying that she has to get out of the office and go back to normal after. They all will be safe and have their lives back.

The makers of this movie obviously didn't pay any attention to what happened with the people in Herculaneum and Pompei when the ash started falling.

Even for a B disaster film, the plot armor of the main characters here is so dense it's Road Runner and Coyote levels of reality. SO if you can suspend your disbelief, you'll manage the film a lot better 😅

Was going to ask if anyone else wanted to slap those kids, but reading the comments I see that there are. The stress of the movie didn't come from the natural disaster, it came from them staying in one place too long or just staring at a scene.

All that heavy ash and their truck keeps running? There is no power- no internet, but they are on line? There is no way they could get a satellite link through all that ash.
You'd be surprised actually as far as the vehicle thing there are videos of people driving thru massive wildfires to escape. Now the satellite unlink thing I've got no experience so I can't really say if that's actually possible

If you paid more than a dollar to make this movie you paid too much. This one is a real steamer with so many inaccuracies and bad acting. It is an absolute failure. It is so bad I was rooting for the lava to just overtake the camera crew and actors and actresses.
