The first one bombed really bad and everyone hated it. The 2nd one was a retry at it with the new rebooted movies and they used the same writer/directer and it bombed even harder. The phoenix force was essentially god-tier level power of alien origin. It has a will of its own, and can really fuck up someone who tries wielding its power. Usually that person has no say in the matter and they're just possessed by it.
I liked the second attempt of the Dark Phoenix film, it was just not going to match the better X-Men movies. I went into it with my expectations low and liked it as a film, not a story. Keep your expectations low, and you will never be disappointed.

Gold Titanium alloy doesn't mean just gold and titanium. The suit is a titanium alloy (probably aluminum and carbon fibers in there too) with a gold based coating for it's thermal properties like preventing ice over in the movies. Which is odd since Silver is a better conductor than gold, but it tarnishes... and doesnt look as nice with red.
Also gold titanium alloy is a real thing, and is 4 times harder than pure titanium, and much harder than most steels. However, I don't think such a thin suit would be able to withstand all of the feats that we see in the movies, if it were in real life.

Gargoyles was a Disney Afternoon show from the 90's, made in response to the success of the 90's Batman and Spiderman cartoons (Disney didn't have Marvel yet). They wanted in on the superhero bucks, so they made Gargoyles. The show is brilliant, with great music and action, stellar performances, and writing that covered dark themes (isolation, body horror, epicurianism vs humanitarianism, accepting loss) that you really didn't expect from Disney at the time. Early on there was even a gun safety episode, the effects of which were seen for several episodes after. The Gargoyles character in the death battle is Goliath, the leader of the group. I won't take too much away with spoilers, but he is strong, noble, and voiced by Keith David, known for having one of the sexiest male voices around. Don't know if you've seen Princess and the Frog, but he played the villain in that.

Fucking love this death battle. I’m a huge Iron Man fan. Particularly Armored Adventures. Great show. Great animation if not a bit weird for people design. Essentially Iron Man filled the role of Spider-Man in that show. There are others animated like this that I just adore. Favorite you’ll have to wait for being Captain Falcon vs Johnny Cage. Not for the animation…just for EVERYTHING else.
Hulk has actually been in 2 DeathBattles so far. The first one put him up against Doomsday (the monster from "Death of Superman"), and the second one put him up against the Dragonball Super version of Broly.

Lex is smarter in some ways, the only arena where Tony really compares is in technology, science and engineering etc. But Tony is not burdened by a hyperfixation and inferiority complex with Superman which is a real handycap in a battle like this where you have, essentially, a generalist battle technologist against a highly specialized battle technologist (but their focus of specialty is NOT how to fight other technologists, just a specific specimen of a non-human species that is not involved in this battle.)
just found out yesterday that the creator of Berserk; Kentaro Miura, passed away early this month from acute aortic dissection at the age of 54. RIP Kentaro... his passing put a permanent cliffhanger on the Berserk manga...also, you're gonna need surgeries to place your mouth back into your skull when you find out what Hulk and Darkseid are capable of.

True that gargoyles are statues on top of buildings, but there is also a TV series where they are supernatural creatures that protect their homes from various threats. They were betrayed by the humans they sworn to protect, Frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. Technically iron man is smarter than lex because he was able to build a suit that could hold the infinity stones which hold infinite power. Not to mention he also built ultron as well as a sentient suit.

I would say the outcome of this Death Battle is mostly accurate. I do not fully agree with some of the things they had set up, especially with how they gave Ironman a lot of different suits but they only gave Lex his standard armor. But otherwise i would agree. Lex Luthor's suit is powerful, but it is tailored to deal with Superman and not too much else. Most other Characters can deal with what Lex can throw at them, and much like they said, he is much more of a mastermind and much less of a fighter. I would also agree with your assesment that Lex Luthor is probably more intelligent than Ironman, but he is also much more egocentric and obsessed than Ironman (which is saying a lot, cause those are also quite extreme issues for Tony), so although a lot of his technology could technically rival everything that Ironman could throw at him, his obsession with Superman in particular makes him prioritize specialized technology that exploits the weaknesses of Superman. But if Lex didnt have to worry about Superman all the time, his technology could easily match every piece of technology that Ironman has made.
Hulk VS Saitama if you want a hulk fight. It's not Deathbattle they had him fight doomsday I think? I like the Saitama vs Hulk animation, its got a good story, its by Zimaut Animation
Gargoyles is one of the greatest animated shows ever made. I would rank it among Avatar the last airbender, Gravity Falls, the Venture bros and Batman the animated series.
Yes, gargoyles was an awesome series from the 90's featuring a great story about gargoyles being the last of their kind awakening hundreds of years in the future in modern day New York with voice work from half the cast of Star Trek the next generation. Hell, Zanatos even looks like Riker from the series. I highly recommend watching it if you can.

It is from Aldnoah Zero. Hiroyuki Sawano tends to make some of the best OSTs and his work on this show is beyond amazing.

Fucking love this death battle. I’m a huge Iron Man fan. Particularly Armored Adventures. Great show. Great animation if not a bit weird for people design. Essentially Iron Man filled the role of Spider-Man in that show. There are others animated like this that I just adore.

Lex is smarter in some ways, the only arena where Tony really compares is in technology, science and engineering etc. But Tony is not burdened by a hyperfixation and inferiority complex with Superman which is a real handycap in a battle like this where you have, essentially, a generalist battle technologist against a highly specialized battle technologist (but their focus of specialty is NOT how to fight other technologists, just a specific specimen of a non-human species that is not involved in this battle.)

I really enjoyed this fight as they had both Tony and Lex down. And yes Lex did kill his parents using good old-fashioned social Darwinism.
Also I'm going to ignore you just called my boy Goliath ugly. True that gargoyles are statues on top of buildings, but there is also a TV series where they are supernatural creatures that protect their homes from various threats. As the intro states: "1000 years ago Superstition and the sword ruled. It was a time of Darkness. It was a world of fear. It was an age of gargoyles. Stone by day, Warriors by night. They were betrayed by the humans they sworn to protect, Frozen in stone by a magic spell for a thousand years. But eventually the spell was broken and they live again in Manhattan as the Defenders Of The Night.
It was one of the best shows I grew up with and Still Remains one of my personal favorites to this day.

Technically iron man is smarter than lex because he was able to build a suit that could hold the infinity stones which hold infinite power. Not to mention he also built ultron as well as a sentient suit.

I would say the outcome of this Death Battle is mostly accurate. I do not fully agree with some of the things they had set up, especially with how they gave Ironman a lot of different suits but they only gave Lex his standard armor. But otherwise i would agree. Lex Luthor's suit is powerful, but it is tailored to deal with Superman and not too much else. Most other Characters can deal with what Lex can throw at them, and much like they said, he is much more of a mastermind and much less of a fighter. I would also agree with your assesment that Lex Luthor is probably more intelligent than Ironman, but he is also much more egocentric and obsessed than Ironman (which is saying a lot, cause those are also quite extreme issues for Tony), so although a lot of his technology could technically rival everything that Ironman could throw at him, his obsession with Superman in particular makes him prioritize specialized technology that exploits the weaknesses of Superman. But if Lex didnt have to worry about Superman all the time, his technology could easily match every piece of technology that Ironman has made.

Yes, gargoyles was an awesome series from the 90's featuring a great story about gargoyles being the last of their kind awakening hundreds of years in the future in modern day New York with voice work from half the cast of Star Trek the next generation. Hell, Zanatos even looks like Riker from the series.
I highly recommend watching it if you can.
Iron man would be just as capable of defeating Superman as Lex is.
