The head is still intact where his consciousness and memory is so that Rush (whom Astro Boy spared) can send him back to Dr Light to be repaired. This is the second Death Battle where a character isn't permanently dead and, unlike Starscream, Megaman is in a scenario where he can be returned the way he was before with no ill effects.

Anime and Manga characters tend to be built with crazy over the top in mind, they rarely have easy weaknesses and usually have powers that are beyond what you would expect. (granted not all anime characters just a lot of those most likely to be chosen for death battle)

However, Konami, Capcom’s business rival, took the Astro Boy license and Capcom went back to the drawing board to create an entirely new cast. And thus, MegaMan was created. So if Konami didn’t steal the Astro Boy license, then Capcom’s first intentions would’ve been fulfilled and MegaMan would’ve never existed.

Japan didn't develop with an Abrahamic god peering over their shoulder, so they didn't develop the same issues with nudity and don't necessarily relate visible skin with sex. Japan is more comfortable showing, discussing, and depicting the body, and in fact, when a character is depicted with their skin showing, in Japanese culture it actually represents purity, rather than anything taboo.

I was rooting for Mega Man with all my heart, even though I also knew and liked Astro Boy as well. But I had a feeling that the Mighty Adam would win due do his sheer power. I was expecting MM to charge his Flame Shot to melt Astro, it would've been his only chance. But I gotta be humble here, I accept and agree with the result and the analisys. But know, Mega Man, that you will always be the mighty Blue Bomber to me, my favorite video game character. And I hope Capcom gives you new games you (and your offsprings) deserve.
I really liked Project X Zone, even though the story Is kind of boring and the characters basically shove each other during the cutscenes to get a line. But remember, that game was developed by Namco, just like Super Smash Bros 4 was developed by Capcom. It looks like other companies love Mega Man more than Capcom.

+AstroManX100 Well in Link vs Cloud they said that Link was outclassed in strength and speed, and only really won with superior strategy. In Spawn vs Kratos Spawn won by using his anger against him. Batman beat Captain America despite being out classed in strength and speed because his knowledge of martial arts exceeds Capts. Luke beat Harry for just having a scar on his head, and Dead pool only really won for having an extreme healing factor, but yeah a lot of them are outclassed in almost every way. Megaman X will lose too. All it took to kill Zero was a fall from the stratosphere. Megaman X is not strong enough to survive one of Astro's serious attacks.
mee091000 A heavily damaged Zero that I'm pretty sure took damage from the explosion before falling down to the planet again. Also can we just say that Zero 4 doesn't exist? It's really not that good of a game and the series really should have ended with MMZ3.
I think the main thing is that that Astro is the more versitile fighter. Megaman usually wins with his numerous weapons and keeping his distance. Astro, on the other hand, will take a more direct approach and will just straight up fight someone.
Can't have him game over from too many explosions. He still needs to save da world from Wiely and Astro acknowledges this so he just broke him into parts to hopefully be resembled easily.
Astro boy recharges himself with enema, which is a method of consuming alcoholic drinks. The writers were probably drunk themselves when they decided how to recharge him.
Writer (singular). All of the writing and artwork in the manga was completed by Tezuka Osamu, who practically invented modern manga and anime. And yeah, Tezuka could be quite weird at times.

Even though I'm disappointed Rock lost, I can't say that the fight wasn't awesome. I feel like this is the robotic equivalent to Goku v Superman, but not in the butthurt way, even though I've seen a lot of butthurt. Like Goku, Mega Man has limits, whereas Astro Boy doesn't have limitations or at least not many. Rock did the best he could, but like Goku v Superman, Goku could only do so much to Clark. Still, you guys asked for this, so deal with the result.

Sadly, it won't change much. All it does is help Mega Man in the speed department and increase his already insane arsenal size. Astro is still way too strong, smart and durable for Mega Man to defeat.

Even so Astro Boy was still stronger, faster and more durable than Mega-man. All his analytical skills would have done is help him realize how outclassed he was. That is not to Mega-man wasn't a good matchup it just comes down to who can take and give more punishment.

I'm surprised they never once mentioned Astro Boy's weakness to electricity (and never even talked about the Thunder Beam in the analysis) and that Mega Man has faster-than-light reaction times, and the analytical skills could've at least given him the knowledge that he needed to stop using melee-based weapons (Metal Blades aren't going to really do much to Astro here) and switch things up. There are a couple of weapons in Mega Man's list that are better than others that they listed (where was the Laser Trident and Rain Flush? And where was the Super Arm as his only strength-enhancing weapon that isn't the Rush Super Adapter armor?) but... Astro does win everywhere else, sadly.

Every time a Death Battle finishes, they always tell us how outclassed the loser was, like it wasn't a fair battle.
+AstroManX100 Well in Link vs Cloud they said that Link was outclassed in strength and speed, and only really won with superior strategy. In Spawn vs Kratos Spawn won by using his anger against him. Batman beat Captain America despite being out classed in strength and speed because his knowledge of martial arts exceeds Capts. Luke beat Harry for just having a scar on his head, and Dead pool only really won for having an extreme healing factor, but yeah a lot of them are outclassed in almost every way.

I think the main thing is that that Astro is the more versitile fighter. Megaman usually wins with his numerous weapons and keeping his distance. Astro, on the other hand, will take a more direct approach and will just straight up fight someone.

Writer (singular). All of the writing and artwork in the manga was completed by Tezuka Osamu, who practically invented modern manga and anime.

Even though I'm disappointed Rock lost, I can't say that the fight wasn't awesome. I feel like this is the robotic equivalent to Goku v Superman, but not in the butthurt way, even though I've seen a lot of butthurt. Like Goku, Mega Man has limits, whereas Astro Boy doesn't have limitations or at least not many. Rock did the best he could, but like Goku v Superman, Goku could only do so much to Clark. I feel like there are some things that were missed that would have tipped the scale more in Mega Man's favor (such as his analytical ability and if I recall Astro Boy has a weakness to electricity and has been shorted out?) but I won't deny Astro Boy is a monster in comparison. I think this is closer than they let on but given the research, Astro Boy earned it :(

Even so Astro Boy was still stronger, faster and more durable than Mega-man.
All his analytical skills would have done is help him realize how outclassed he was.
That is not to Mega-man wasn't a good matchup it just comes down to who can take and give more punishment.
+Dr Ukato No argument on those points. I'm surprised they never once mentioned Astro Boy's weakness to electricity (and never even talked about the Thunder Beam in the analysis) and that Mega Man has faster-than-light reaction times, and the analytical skills could've at least given him the knowledge that he needed to stop using melee-based weapons (Metal Blades aren't going to really do much to Astro here) and switch things up. There are a couple of weapons in Mega Man's list that are better than others that they listed (where was the Laser Trident and Rain Flush? And where was the Super Arm as his only strength-enhancing weapon that isn't the Rush Super Adapter armor?) but... Astro does win everywhere else, sadly.

IKR, Genos is a City Buster+ and can take super sonic hits with ease, but that sword + ripper mode might spell trouble.
+♪Ｐｕｌｓｅ ＳｎＫ♪ That would be a pretty good fight. Genos can keep up with Sonic, who can move at super sonic speeds and is easily as physically strong as Raiden. It would pretty much come down to if Genos could keep Raiden at bay with ranged attacks.

It just take tired when you learn about that OP and limit character until you see the Death Battle, or a lot of people do that, and you see how unfair is that battle.
Perfect example: Goku vs. Superman.
Even so, it's not to say the characters with limits are weak, but we see how they stand against certain opponents
