Safford is my hometown! I live in Tempe now. Those aren't tailings piles of Morenci, those are called Leach Heaps, they are part of the Freeport Safford mine. They spray dilute sulfuric acid on the Heaps, and leach the Copper out. Anyway, there are Sasquatch up on Mt. Graham, which overlooks Safford, and is 10,800 feet in elevation. There are several reports of sightings on the BFRO website.
Good morning, my friend. Thanks for watching. You're correct, there is a long history of Sasquatch activity up on Mount Graham. I was actually a BFRO Investigator, and I investigated a number of reports up there myself....
You gotta stop at the Frosty Freeze on the way into town headed east or as you leave town headed west. I love Safford and always travel across the mountain from AJ on my way to my ranch in west Texas. I've taken 191 but I prefer staying on highway 70 headed to Lordsburg and get something to eat at the Ranch House in Duncan. I don't like driving thru Tucson so I don't go that way.
You're talking about the Taylor Freeze in Pima, Annie. I've never stopped there, but I've thought about it many times. I don't like going through Tucson either, and that I-10 corridor between Phoenix and Tucson is awful. We always go to Safford, and then down 191, unless we're going into NM, then we go through Duncan to Lordsburg, like you do. I've never eaten at The Ranch House in Duncan either....
Nice tour, Chuck! Thanks!
You're very welcome, Lisa....
❤Hi Chuck! Thank you for the tour, I enjoy seeing these. Have a great weekend!❤
You're certainly welcome, Brenda. You have a great weekend as well....

Odd light poles in the second town; bent.
Those type of light poles are pretty common here. A lot of communities use them....
