I got to ride a YSR when I was a kid, I was AMAZED! Now I own a CR85 powered pitbike thats insane, its my baby. Its really sketchy until 4th gear (wheel up in 1st-2nd-3rd at half throttle). It has crackhead/tweaker gearing and its a big bore/balanced crank motor. I will never find another Honda 2 stroke especially for the price. Insane build.
Back in 2000 I lived in Tualatin OR. Rode my YSR everywhere.. Even down the freeway. Only did one exit to the next. Since there was no CC limit I figured I'd see what the top end was.... Unfortunately I got stopped by the cop at 72MPH.... Had the 20 mm carb, Tommy exhaust, 2nd fork Spring, Bronze trailing arm and shock bushing. Team Calamari fork brace, Etc. Never could find anybody over there to ride with. I'm now in Idaho I own 3 of them. As for the guy that says the sound of the bike is annoying, Well maybe the bikes just not for him. Lol I love riding the little 2 stroke.... I'm rebuilding the motor in one of mine right now... And the other 2 are kind of on the back burner until I get them all put back together.
As for your piston having scratches when you pulled it apart after seizing, that is normal.. When you seize up the engine your piston gets scratched.... If you're gonna keep it in stock configuration I would recommend you get you get a set of boysen boyzin power reeds, and Or you could go with a set of carbon fiber..... Each one has its advantage.... If you haven't figured it out yet, stock stock farings are only worth something if they are In good condition and not painted. After they've been painted they don't have much more value than a set of aftermarket. Anyway the Stock are plastic. After market would be fiberglass... Though there is a company somewhere in Thailand or something like that that is making plastic from what I understand.. You could try to soak your windscreen in in break fluid and see if that will take the paint off of it.. Might be able to get it back to clear. Check your left fork And see if there is a second Spring in there if there's not contact contact team calamari and see if they still have any available. If you Don't have one and can get one even used it makes a heck of a difference in the way the bike handles... I also highly recommend getting a getting a fork brace. It makes the front end a hell of a lot more stable.Although it kind of affects the way your front Fender bolts on. With slight modification you can have it on there and the Fender as well... If you haven't gotten your turn signals working I can tell you What To get..
@@onemanarmy1310 we looked in mollala, Canby, Gladstone, Milwaukee. We put in offers in mollala and Canby. It’s crazy. The house we got went in the market in January. We put in a low offer right away and they declined it. The next few days it went pending. The guys financing fell through. We came back with another offer and made a deal. Love the house but I still feel that we payed too much, but that’s the market. And! I was dead set on Oregon City. I had to be here. My wife was getting irritated because I didn’t want to look at other places. I held out and we are both super happy. Oregon city overall is a great place to live. Good luck 👍🍀 🤞
What paint colour is the red for the wheels on your Yamaha YSR50? I would like to paint my wheels which are white at the moment and have them back to OEM red. I’m struggling to find any paint codes and brands etc I can use that would be a match. I also need the red colour for the battery box and fender. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😁
Hey man, I see you have the same helmet as me but different visor, this helmet and visor isn’t available in my country (so I can’t go into a store and look myself lol)I was just wondering if your silver visor is possible to see through from the outside? And if you know of any other colours that do the same?
*Petcock. Not petcocks lol. Is this gonna be another 'balaclava' thing? Hehehe. This reminds me a lot of the work I had to do on that 1980 KZ440 I had. Had to replace a lot of stuff because it was so old. Man I miss that bike.. Despite its issues I wish I hadn't sold it. Hoping to find another one at some point. Does that bike have a point ignition system?
So with no internal camera stabilization, 24fps will look more stable than 30 or 60? Also, would you or anyone know of a free editing software? I use Microsoft move maker, but I think I'm loosing the quality with it. I'm not a vlogger just using for my rides so don't wanna invest in it too much. It good day on the east coast as well :)
24 won’t be more stable, it’ll look more realistic. I used movie maker for a while. IMovie is great but you need a Mac. Not sure of any good, free editing programs for a pc. All uploads to TH-cam will loose quality. Even when you render from the editor you loose a lil bit.

I have no idea 🤷♂️

Ha ha. I can’t pronounce some words 🤷♂️. Electronic. This is a race bike!! 🤣
Hey boss, I have a YSR50 I want to rebuild. What would you say your best resources for parts is? Thanks in advance
eBay.
@@OregonMotorcycle Thank you
If you still haven't gotten everything done contact Teamcalamari.
It sounds like a mini NSR150
I’m really thinking about buying this as my first motorcycle, what do you think?
I would look at a grom. These are expensive and rare.
that wallet is sick love pulp fiction
Ha ha. Sweet!
When you are on one you feel like you are doing 60mph when you are only doing 20.
Ha ha. Your right. I feel like I’m a race bike 🤣. Oh wait, I am. Yeah coming out of 2nd into 3rd and it sounds like your ripping down a track!
Do you know anything about identifying the fairings to find out if they are oem?
After market are made out fibreglass
Fairings look OEM to me aftermarket stuff is very thin and fiberglass. I don't know of any aftermarket Tail fairing with the battery cover like OEM.

Nice little bike... but really annoying to listen to in your videos. I think you might kill the interest of some of your viewers.
Or attract the interest of those who can appreciate the sound of a lil two stroke getting on the pipe🤷♂️
@@OregonMotorcycle fare enough..
LOL When I came across this I thought you & this guy should totally cruise together...
