Man, when a group of musicians get it right it’s just magical to see.
This was my campfire album, sadly it was removed from Spotify.
The other day my friend and I popped into my local library and I showed him the music section. I wasn’t really noticing the music selection and suddenly my friend is holding a copy of Blue Mountain.
I immediately went home and played. I had just lost my mom a few days before, and in the moment I heard Bob’s voice I broke down into tears.
Beautiful. I’ve always lived by a river. Born in New Orleans. I live by the White River in the Ozarks now.
Man, I love this song. Steve Kimock's tone is phenomenal!
Gorgeous...right up there with anything Bobby has written, IMO.
Very, very underated American songwriter...Bobby deserves so much more credit & accolades as a true Cowboy Troubadour.
please look up the definition of 'underated'
He didn't write this song. Josh Ritter did.
What is all this static for? I feel BW doesn't get his just due for his songwriting abilities. And this song, like much of Blue Mountain is collaborative. Ritter is not the sole songwriter. Peace!
Bobby has always been cool, back then now and forever and he can tell the weather.Go Bobby go go go.
SUPERB !!!!🎼🌟

@Bob weir My first was your show at The Beacon in NYC in, IDK, 1975!! I played "Only a River" with my daughter (pro)... It is not in D, for a couple reasons, but I put a slightly different spin on it. th-cam.com/video/M993s1vQXQU/w-d-xo.html
