Happy about Dimir Control rising up slowly. I'm building the Day's Undoing version and I find it really fun to play
I've loved that version. Was super fun to play. Rona's vortex has overperformed so much for me lately.
@@darthjacen Agreed. I once resolved an Hullbreaker Horror by casting Rona's without kicker into Day's Undoing with Narset on the field, super satisfying.

Do you have a deck list of what you would personally play for a monoblock deck? Do you think there are any more innovations that you would bring to the archetype?
I'd currently just take Mono Black Midrange like this:

And tweak the removal package to like up against the updated metagame post ONE. Nothing too fancy since it's already a strong deck as is.
@@darthjacen i have some selesnya angels at my local meta. Do you recommend anything to really hate on those? I've been feeling Witch's Vengeance but angels just get too big too quickly, and doesn't kill righteous valk since it's 2/4. Extinction event kills my own creatures.
I'm currently theorycrafting that the only way to break parity is to go over them and start throwing 4mv/5mv creatures and use Ritual of Soot but I don't know what goes in that 5 slot
I think you’re underrating humans. Just top 4d an RCQ with it. It was amazing
Congrats on the top 4! Humans is certainly powerful enough to do well, just struggles in the bigger events on average.

Pretty sure I said Abzan was the best shell, it's just not very good right now regardless of which color trio you use.
I don’t get that part of lotus combo supposedly being bad against mono green? I think lotus absolutely dismantles mono green
Skilled pilots go back and forth on this matchup depending on sideboarding strategies and how effectively you can find your hate cards. It's a close matchup for sure, but mostly dependent on the skill levels of the players. Last I had seen and heard was Green favored, but could certainly change!
@@darthjacen I don’t know, brother. Can green’s current builds really do anything meaningful by turn 4 against lotus? You’re going to need exactly Karn on turn 3 and stone brain on 4 and by then it’s already proably too late
The deck really only needs one dork and a karn to achieve that. Mulliganing aggressively against lotus makes it much easier. People keep very mediocre 7s or 6s versus all-in combo like lotus and get punished for it since they can't aggro out fast enough without hate pieces.
It really comes down to whether or not mono green draws Karn or not. Without corn mono cream takes too long to set up and you can combo underneath them and put them being able to access multiple silver bullets swings that match up.
