- In this video, we survived Farron Keep and made it to the infamous boss, the Abyss Watchers. After dying over 30 times, this boss actually made me get off the game. This is definitely one of the most difficult bosses I have yet to face. I hope you enjoy this episode of my Dark Souls 3 Playthrough and stay tuned for more videos!
Thank you for watching!

Allocate flasks at andre the blacksmith so you have more healing
I'd say get rid of the ashen estus for more regular estusfor a start. In the first phase, try and have 2 different fights going on, either the friendly v the main guy, or you v the main guy. Also, the friendly will attack you if you're closest when he gets up, so when you see him start to rise, put the other two in between.
For the second phase, roll away from his swing attacks because even if you dodge them you can still get caught in the fire, and punish after he slams his sword (that will usually be the end of his combo). keep mashing ur head against that brick wall and it will eventually break :)
Great video though, very entertaining :D
I appreciate it, and thank you for the advice!
yo this channel is so underrated keep it up
Thank you, I really appreciate it (:
Lowkey one of my favourite areas for references to ds1, even the embers that your extinguishing also reference certain bosses if you look above the flames. Gravelord Nito, Gwyndolin and I believe the last one is the 4 kings? Ngl been awhile since I last played
I didn’t even notice! I love all these DS1 references, especially since I just got done playing it. I also saw someone say that the swamp is based off Oolacile Garden (hope i spelled that right)
@@artificial7xyeah that was me talking about it on one of the previous TH-cam shorts 😂
@@ApolloArrow2333 That makes a lot of sense lmao I didn’t even recognize your username
Never really understood why people struggle with this boss. He took me 1 try
It just be like that for some bosses, I beat orphan of kos on my second or third attempt but the abyss watchers just played to my weaknesses I guess
I feel like there are way too many jump cuts during the swamp area
You’ve been seemingly under leveled up to this point, FYI. So you’re doing really good considering. It’s hard to know why exactly since we don’t see everything but I could tell when you were fighting Deacons and Crystal Sage. Damage was low. I did this same thing first play through, went and leveled a bit and it was a game changer. I missed the Chapel and went right to Abyss Watchers though so that was why it happened in my play through. But yeah, you playing on hard mode! Damage seems better now. But don’t know the other stats. Should have stuck with the butcher knife though. Awesome weapon and can take you to end game. GG!
That makes a lot of sense, honestly I enjoyed being under-leveled because the other souls games I was too over leveled so it gave me a good challenge. I just beat the game at level 90 but I don’t know if that’s under leveled lol
@@artificial7xNo not necessarily. But once you get into the area that you can either head to deacons or abyss watchers, it seems to become a bit of a stat check. So when I went straight to AW missing the Cathedral all together I was getting stomped in that fight. Then I realized I missed an area, completed it normally and beat abyss watchers on my first try going back. It’s an odd area in that way. But I watched your whole play-through and really enjoyed it! Keep it up man!
But remember- Midir goes like this: Head, tail, head, tail, head, tail, head, tail…. Dead.
Try leveling up some more it really helps trust
I might need to, is level 35 too low?
Be more aggressive in second phase, this boss become aggressive if you are more passive
Thanks for the tip! I usually would be more aggressive, but almost every time I get to the second phase, I either have only one or no estus left. Once I get the first phase down it shouldn’t be too bad
@@artificial7x When you just get into the arena let him come to you, boss usually make one big jump attack, after this try to make maximum amount of damage, you approximately have 10-15 seconds before second dude wakes up, go to the other side of the arena, let third one hit one of them, you should hit another one, while those two will fight with each other try to make maximum amount of damage, they will respawn until the second phase, that one which has red eyes is your ally
Bro the second boss is very fast only way to kill him is backstap
I’m gonna try that. I just keep getting caught in those horizontal swing combos and they always get me lol
BRO YOU CAN SUMMON AN NPC FEW STEPS BEFORE THE GATE.
USE EMBER BEFORE ENTERING AND EQUIP GRASS CREST SHIELD FOR STAMINA.
AND MAY BE YOU ARE MISSING FEW ESTUS SHARDS AND ONE UNDEAD BONE TO BURN AT BONFIRE.
THANKS FOR THE TIP lol but I don’t think I’m gonna use summons on this playthrough. I feel like it kind of took some of the fun away from the other games for me
@artificial7x YEP dont listen to this guy, summons ruin the experience, defenitely because the bosses in DS3 are the best part of the game and has some of the best in the franchise
@@artificial7x bro i said he can not he should. and i also gave other tips like using grass crest shield and exploring estus shards and other items.
nearby there is also a black knight across the swamp and he sometimes drop great sword which i used in my boss fight.
