Making a Wooden Laptop Case

- Made from solid Birch. The lid of the case features Bubinga and Ebony inlay. The inside surface has a black felt lining. Brass hinges open the case to 93 degrees.
Made for a 13,3 inch laptop.
The inlay is glued in with Titebond’s liquid hide glue.
Minor defects at the underside of the case are filled with dyed epoxy.
Felt lining is glued with contact cement.
Bubinga rims are glued with PVA glue.
Finish is Osmo 1101 and beeswax.

Great job. I spent half the video looking at your beautiful workshop and coveting your tools.
Maurice everything you make is amazing. I just sit there completely content watching your videos. Inlay by hand with no C&C machine. Sitting there and hand planing until it fits just right. A true craftsman. I seriously am jealous of your shop. Using a forstner bit with the depth set to remove the center material I wouldn't have thought of that. I would have used a router and lost my fence going to deep into the wood. You're the man!

Maurice awesome work man! I see you use a lot of nice woods,if you ever need some beautiful south Louisiana old growth ax cut sinker cypress solid or pecky slabs or boards I can hook you up! I pull them from the bayou and mill myself!
