Awesome! Could you tell or show how you have the magnet in your shoulder strap secured so well? And also, you mentioned that you had some tape to dim the brightness of that light. Is there anything special about the type of tape you used to do that?
When I ordered that light I ordered the strap mount with it. The mount is in two parts that clamps down using 4 bolts with an included Allan wrench. I picked a spot on my vest that it would sit the highest and attached the mount. I then used braided fishing line and sewed the excess strap to keep it from sliding back and forth. But not all pfd's are the same. I had to get creative. I then used a 4" × .25" strip of yellow self adhesive vinyl (you can pick that up at any art supply shop.or a scrap from any sign shop) to cover one side as to keep the usability of the white light when needed.
That's a good question. I though for sure while talking to the guys from GA at ICAST 2023 that there was no way these weren't gong to be too bright. They said "not at all". I did not believe them, but I was proven wrong. The lights were pretty easy on the eyes. The 4 brightness settings help with that as well. The low setting, I find, is plenty bright enough for a nav light. I would save the high setting in case you are in need of a rescue.
Tried to buy the kayak kit earlier today. It said two extra mounts with code but then ya had to give em more info. Then it said codes no good. They sent me another code in my email without me asking and it was no good. Is this really a trustworthy site.
Oh yeah, they're legit. Email them. Sometimes, the codes get wonky. And they have to reset. It happened to me a couple of weeks ago. They will get you sorted.
@@JungleJayAdventures tried the several times, seems like the new battery in the remote isn’t working. Starting to wonder if the button battery is making connection
I hope people find this comment under this review. Do not buy these lights. They are complete garbage. They do not work anywhere close to how they advertise. If you’re using them on your kayak for light, you’ll be lucky to get about two hours out of them. They also sometimes go to sleep so you’re having to climb to the front and the back of your kayak to reactivate and wake them up. Guardian angel is aware and their advertisements lead you to believe that you can get a much longer battery life. Waste of $180.
The new firmware will allow connectivity from 2 hours to now 16 hours and normalized the run time of each light. I get a good solid 6 hours on the lowest setting. If you have issues with their lights, they are satisfaction guaranteed. So no, your money isn't wasted if your unhappy with the product.
I love the Rave!! LOL!!! Very cool. Excellent review. Thank you.
Thanks. I appreciate that. Hope you are well.
Need to get me some of those. I’ll try em out one of my yaks to see how I like em.
Hang Tight, I am working on a Jungle Jay GA Affiliate Account Ill send you a link as soon as its approved.
Just subscribed.
Thanks! I appreciate it very much!
Gonna order this kit
It's worth it. Thank you for watching.
You gettin' all the good stuff. Nice review. Those magnets sound strong. Could you use them for anything? Like a GoPro mount to a car? 15:06 😆🕺
Yeah. But as long as the car is made of steel, you can just set the light on the surface.
Always love❤ur honest reviews. "Top shelf" baby!

@@JungleJayAdventures Thanks so much for your quick and thorough response. I just ordered a white/green micro light and a strap mount to go with it!
Awesome! I love my light! People at my job ask me all the time where I got it.
Do you find the rear facing part of the bow navs lights too bright or distracting?

If you haven't already you can use Promo Code JungleJay.
I was half expecting a gator to pop up and start dancing at the JJA Rave...
Bought and received the kit, lights work, remote does not work
I know if I don't turn the lights on at the source first, then the remote won't work.

I'd reach out to GA , there should be a Warranty. They have been really good to me.

How long did they last on a charge
I clocked them at about 7 hours on a single charge at its lowest setting.
