facepalm with the disconnected fuel pump.
lol the Ivan asking if anybody been in the fuel pump. Lol the reply, this was kind of important. Lol loved it
I can read the frustration on your face, Ivan! And rightly so. All the previous apparent meddling, and how then could you know what the original issue might have been? Fuel pump plug not fully seated? BTW did you put in a new fuse 19? Did someone before you replace fuse 17 with a 20A because the correct 10A was blown? Possible short to ground masked by the larger fuse rating?
Good diagnosis so many fuse-able areas you were able to nail it down, good stuff.
Definitely charge the customer the customer was playing swaptronics and unplugged the fuel pump. The person that was there was not the owner, did not know what the owner did. You have to know the whole story if the customer wants it fixed.
Yep!! Maybe trying to install something and they created a problem, hence it was stuck in the garage with a missing fuse, haha)
Pull a fuse to visually inspect, checks ok, plug it back in...
Oops she's not happy! Wrong hole!
That would definitely save some diag time for the customer lol
I had the same problem with my 1986 toy Supra. I found a froze shut flapper on the mat sensor.
It's a shame VWAG make such unreliable cars because they are usually very nice driving cars
this video is full of laughs , they must love paying for diag time for problems they created . thats amazing
You could tell Ivan was little mad at the end he knew the owner was messing with the fuses I’m glad he charged him the full 2 hours
The ignorance of some people amaze me. Great diagnostic work!
I'm an IT guy and love computers more than most people.. but not so much in cars.
His next stop should be 5 Star Car Stereo in Florida for a Car Stereo 911 video and get that rats nest cleaned up.
some got over their head and you came in in saved his ass
Too bad they didn't write notes like you do. They could have applied the 2 hours to whatever the real problem was. Ivan could you give another video on the several electronic service tools pro and cons featuring the Launch Diagun 4, snapon verus (not sure I got the right model), Thinkcar, and and any other model diagnostic tablet you used.(did you use an autel model?). I do appreciate how kind you were to the guy when they self inflicted their cars comatose state.
IMPRESSIVE young Obiwan!
Bought a used VW Tiguan once, beautiful vehicle, drove great. But, the engineering was so bad, it had so many problems, I sold it within 6 weeks.
very cool work.. Its always fun to watch these diagnosis.
It's even more fun doing the diagnosis!
Isnt that amp wire supposed to go directly to the battery? The hell, why do they have it near that fusebox?
HELLO ivan! Nice job as always!
I love VWs! They just think a little different... The thing I love the most about Euro cars are SPECS & TOLERANCES.
They aren't SLOPPY.
A little different is nice way of talking about that family member that gets picked up by the short bus everyday
Great diag skills there Ivan. Maybe he guy just wanted to meet you? Ha!
What's the latest on the Yamaha triple?
The Yam Triple is cross-country ready! I'll post an update video eventually :)
Hi there nice video. Would like to know the scan tool you are using.. thanks
I think the owner new a bit more than he said!!!!!!
Nicely done! Tnx for posting.
Hahaha! Unless he had a severe case of Electrical Gremlins stalking the car, this is another case of, Someone pulls a S†ùpìd and doesn't wanna fess up.
bro you SAVED ME THOUSANDS OF DOLARS THANK YOU
How did it start after replacing the fuse that restored the communication?
Ivan, you have a very cool head. Troubleshooting problems caused by people who are clueless in fixing cars is enough to go crazy. He should of told you everything he had touched Before you even started! Perhaps from now on you need to query the customer before starting your diagnosis.
Oh believe me I queried the customer... He said that 2 other friends looked at it before me... 😅
I think it's actually a Passat CC, don't know why they would drop the original model names in the US. Same think for VW GTI, it's actually a Golf GTI in Europe.
somebody was playing around
Don't you love it when fuses are moved and no one will admit to messing around with them? Why was the fuel pump disconnected Mr. Owner?
But it’s not hard look at fuse cover read diagram oh fuse 15 five amp goes right here it’s really not hard
CRANK - START - STALL...
I know this one - seen it many times... coil ballast resistor open circuit!
How'd I do? Haha Showing my age a bit there...
Enjoyed the video....great diagnostic process!!!!
They have perfected the art of planned obsolescence
By removing fuses and unplugging fuel pumps?
@@kain0m it becomes cost prohibitive to own a vw after they reach a certain age. I’m a former vw owner and tech
Nice diag Ivan!
alwatys good to see you man!!!!!
You too thanks for the comment 👍
Interesting it ran after the fuse was installed for what seemed like a long time.
