If you really want to visit real india then go for less popular places like bihar, uttarpradesh, uttrakhand and lot more which is not very known to the world. Now you need to venture into local specialities of different Indian states to discover other varieties we have to offer. Go to state of Gujarat, especially Ahmedabad to enjoy some Gujarati delicacies (ranging from dry snacks to hot and fresh street food to Gujarati Thali to sweets). Then a definite visit any major city of South India to try South Indian food (which of course you will find in any metro cities like Delhi or Mumbai, but the authenticity of South Indian food is even to this day found only in South India.
