Just wanted to get my thoughts out here. I can't believe you didn't pass elims. I'll be honest: I think it comes down to a fundamental difference in preference. Many high-level beatboxers value fast beats, big drops, mastery over basic sounds, and crowd work. I don’t think they can use these standards to judge your music fairly, because you excelled and surpassed expectations in everything you set out to do. Your execution seemed flawless, and your stage presence and performance were captivating. The combination of sounds you used is something only you can pull off. There’s also a lack of repetition, which offers so much variety on top of some pretty sick flows. Your pitching is crazy good even though you use such a challenging range. None of the other elims had that level of pitch accuracy, even when they would only attempted melodic stuff for a couple of seconds. On a compositional and structural level, it was far and away the best elim. You can definitely be proud of yourself so keep your head up! I'm sure when the official videos are released you'll see a lot more support come your way :)

Definitely thought you were higher than Blackroll, but I guess crowd energy affects a lot of the grading. It could also have been that your mistakes mattered more than Kaji's style or Osis' style, but it's all my conjectures unless the judges (or you) release their reasoning for their rankings. You did well and the performance was great! If it helps, I don't think you lost because of power thanks to your dynamics. If anything, it was probably preference in the moment.

I honestly don't understand why alexinho got through the eliminations but stitch didnt. Does being at the venue really make that big of a difference?? Also i noticed that in the last 3 gbbs w only 8 passing elims the first one up placed 10th overall excluding gbb 21. Just an interesting pattern i noticed
Look at the clock. It's 3:40. 20 seconds have passed. The crowd isn't gonna be easily impressed by vibration bass they already heard in the first 5 seconds
@ yea In my opinion it’s not so smart to start it of with such a heavy hitting sound without a proper build up. Ofc it’s music, and everyone performs in different styles, but the surprise factor on stage in a drop would be way cooler with this bass :) big love from Germany ❤️

You clearly deserved to pass. I'd even say just your poly intro was enough to pass. There's a huge problem in the way we judge beatboxing imo. It seems that musical complexity is often forgotten and all the judges think about is who can peak the limiter the most. It's almost like loudness is weighed way higher on their score cards than anything else. If i were to start over in my personal beatbox journey and go all-in on GBB i'd just only train power snares, click rolls and inward bass because that's way more rewarded competitively. And by reinforcing this just in a few years we'll just lose all the creative and unusual, musical and performative styles in the competitive scene because the beatboxers are discouraged to enter with their sound palette that may not fit a stage 100%. That's just my opinion.

Having PacMax first is much more reasonnable than Alexhino getting second place elim ngl x) (no offense to alexhino, but i really did not like his elim)
