The cage is far to large for this tree rat. It should go to a lab, or I would take it for my dogs chew toy. Don't these people know that these rats piss and shit uncontrollably. They need to plan on having it in diapers all its life. And for safety later cut down its teeth. If it is male it will also need it's nuts cut off.

Acf was handed over by the wildlife department themselves and they are doing what they can in their capacity to stop this trade and to build a monkey sanctuary in the country for the first time. ACF is the biggest animal rescue in Pakistan. This pet market sells wildlife animals illegally. And hence, they stepped in with authorities to stop the trade.

The video operators interfere with these animals and their feeding hierarchy. They reward cruel behavior with food. They will take babies away from their moms and give them to other moms. Videos of monkeys suffering bring more clicks and make more money. I'm sure human poverty plays a role, too.

90% of baby monkey care is letting them always have something to cling to 24/7, preferably you, but at least a "cloth mother"- even vivisectionists give every infant macaque a rolled up towel to cling to 24/7. Sadly 99.9% of youtubers with baby monkeys cant even do that. Honestly as long as they have something to cling to and room to play, its a vast improvement. Neck collars are suspicious though, if you absolutely must leash the big one (and only for temporary moments like a room that has a stove on for safety) its better to put collar around waist/hips.
