Holy crap dude, I wish I would have found your videos earlier in my turning career (only been turning about 7 months now), you not only explain what you are doing with each tool but WHY you are doing it that way, which would of saved me a whole lot of trial and error! Thanks Jimmy, for more than you know!
Great series. I learned so much and not just generally speaking, you helped me notice the details also. I really do enjoy the way you teach, instruct and guide as you go. Thank you. I am looking forward to seeing more.
Naturally the exact center of your blank always has a hole in it. Or in my case, I am always cutting the vice grips either just a bit too big for the small setting or just a little too small for the large setting. You are more careful that way and I will be too in the future. Keep up the good work Jimmy!
Let me know where to send you some stuff dude, I would love to see what you can do with some American chestnut that I have (beautiful grain, I’ll have to stabilize it with some resin first, let me know what colors if any you would want with it). This is great work dude!
Great videos. Amazing skill and technique. Maybe better use of the camera zoom would be nice - Zoom for detail of the grain and the cutting angle , but otherwise I think its better to see the bigger picture so to say. Also the bottom of the frame needs only to be just below the centre of the bowl.
