The Devil's Bath is a masterpiece. The Coffee Table was my favorite of 2024 until I saw this film.
Ending was a trip.

This is such a deeply sad and disturbing film. It is very reminiscent of "Hagazussa: A Heathen's Curse".
Ok, but what is the deal with the finger and the blood at the end?
Yeah.. I was thinking about that too.. maybe it has something to do with the fact that the finger and blood came from women who confessed their sins and were absolved and maybe according to the religious belief of the time these "items" from purified people would have miraculous/medicinal properties? I don't know..
Wow this film looks beyond awesome. I love historical horror stories. Really looking forward to seeing this film.

@@quark6766 thanks I finally saw it. Outstanding, the historical detail is awesome. I expected to be dark coming from the team that gave us Goodnight Mommy. It sure was dark but an interesting film. I also learned about this troubling aspect of early modern Europe. Highly recommended
Calling this a horror movie is the biggest stretch I heard of all year. It goes all around the equator its ridiculously stretchy
Depression is horrific: especially if you're a woman in this god awful "society" of the time.
@@pegacorn13 I've suffered from depression a lot pretty sure never felt like murdering any child cause of it
@@donaldhysa4836 You also aren't a woman living in 17th century Austria in a village whose inhabitants truly believe that you'll be damned for eternity if you commit suicide but think that murdering a child can simply be forgiven and then proceed to squeal in ecstasy and delight during an execution all while running towards the body of a beheaded woman with coins in hand to get a gulp of the fresh body's blood. Pretty sure these are just some of the reasons why this is considered a horror film.
@@pegacorn13 Maybe but still the problem is she is very unsympathetic even though the actress was excellent in the role.
