The place you found water is a cattle guzzler. The paved road you traveled on, is in fact an 233 mile long aquaduct that the city of Los Angeles uses to supply its water. The red roads use red volcanic ash from some of the volcanoes in that part of the desert.
It's incredible how great you've gotten at filming, presenting, editing, etc all your adventures since you began. I wish you had these skills at the beginning, especially in the sections between Europe and China.
I don't know how to contact you but on route 66 we manage a hotel and if you want you can stay there for a while its called El rancho also to late now but we also manage death valley national park could have let you stay there to
Ed Pratt It's insane following you on this journey, right now i'm following the episodes you unicycling across america, upon ending i intend on watching the remaining series. But being able to follow your trips, watch the amazing views that you do so riding your Unicycle, and seeing all the amazing people that you meet across the world makes following your channel ever so more entertaining... Keep going strong, I believe in you...

Greetings from Somerset, I have now subscribed and clicked the bell. I found the Australian trip and have watched a couple of videos now, and very well produced. I am surprised that they have not shown this on television it would have made an excellent mini TV show. Keep doing the West Country and Somerset proud.
Channel is getting huge subs every day. Hope you got 1m subs really fast. You totally deserves this. Best wishes from India ed. Live a long and safe life.
Ahh that’s unlucky :( you have school.. but also it was a lucky upload for me too because I woke up at 1:19 and it this video was was waiting to be watched.
please Ed activates the subtitles in his videos so we can better follow his adventures, not only here for Brazil but for the whole world, hugs and good luck.
Its not uncommon to see them there. Panamint Valley is a low level training area. The most common jet is the F-18, as there is 2 navy bases in the area, but you will see all sorts of aircraft doing to Jedi Transition/ Rainbow Canyon run. Google those terms for some cool videos.
Cuz cattle can't read lol. They probably don't want strangers using it anyway. If visitors left the water on, that could spell death for a bunch of cattle if they couldn't get replacement water trucked out in time.
An old Californian tracker came across Ed's tracks and said "Tall skinny man with funny shoes lost his mind to the sun. Lost wheel to bicycle in a crash and still wheeled it out of the desert." 😂🤣👍
Ed, I can't tell how inspired I am! eyeing on series of epics you've been showing the world. Hope there will be no finishing line of your dream work. Always keep our words with you whenever you gonna cross another death valley. Eternal wishes
One of your best yet Ed. It's the struggle that is always the most interesting. Cycling across Mongolia I remember the fear/tension/excitement associated with the need for water. With easily accessible water it's really just about time and will power, with a lack of water it's ramped up another level. Leo watches all of the new videos and says Hi. He doesn't know it but will be getting a unicycle for Christmas - a 16" wheel. Hi from KL!
This content is fantastic Ed, me and the Mrs have been binge watching like mad! You are a real picture of doggedness and resourcefulness. So surprised that your channel hasn't blown up yet! If anyone deserves 1m plus subs, it's you. Stay safe mate
Bird Spring Pass, what I do Ed, is use Google Earth to look ahead at my bike routes to see at street view what roads look like so when I get to them I know if they are rough, paved or whatever type of dirt they are. I can also see what streams, creeks and other water sources look like. Topo maps do not always show true water areas, I have seen maps that showed a lake then to get there it is dried up. Course this was you first experience in the USA, I have been bicycle touring it for 37 1/2 years.
This video made my week. it was my last week at school for the year and have had quite a few exams been lookin forward to this new video since the last one, keep up the awesome work Ed
God I love these videos, I would love to go on an adventure like this when I leave school. You keep me captivated with these videos, and they have way less views than they deserve. Fantastic video, I cannot wait for the rest of the series.
I don’t if you were aware of it or not, but you were just passing through the Silicon Valley of aviation. The Tornado at the end was the testimony of it. Nice ride. Keep on.
Assuming that you edit these videos by yourself, I have to appreciate how consistent you've been with the quality. Much love from India my brother. Ps: you've inspired me to cycle from one end of India to the other. Much love
Hi Ed! This is Cali & Colton from the video!! Colton is so excited to see himself in the video! He had so much fun talking to you, and hopes one day to travel to Somerset.
Ed, you’re a mega stud, but you got damn lucky here. I’m glad you found water and didn’t die in the desert. By the way, I got one of your shirts, and it looks awesome.
10:05 I like to think the pilot was having a gander at you, as you stuck out in the nothing. If you'd waved with both arms overhead that is the signal for distress. One arm overhead is you are okay.
Quite interesting! This is my neighborhood, I live in Ridgecrest. He was lucky to find that guzzler, there is not really any water sources around and that was probably 25 or 30 miles from Inyokern. Ironically that concrete road he was riding on is the Los Angeles Aqueduct, so there was water right beneath him at that point, but now way to access it. Now I want to watch the rest of this series.
I hope your Chanel grow to millions subscriber, so you can afford camera crew and editing team while you just enjoying unicycling, geographical and culture everywhere you go.
I want to cycle across the west like that one day. Seems like quite the rewarding challenge to see the beauty of the USA's west while not in a car or plane.
I whish you all the best, but my favourite parts of your videos are the ones where you're in trouble. Lack of water, saddle soreness, broken seatpost, broken bearing, punctures etc.
Thanks for the great videos, Ed! I, too, can't imagine how much work the filming was and how much quicker you would've finished had you not taken us all along with you. I have a question about your filming. What kind of camera shots are you using at minutes 4:50 and 9:50. The latter almost looks like you're on a green screen, but I know better.
The place you found water is a cattle guzzler.
The paved road you traveled on, is in fact an 233 mile long aquaduct that the city of Los Angeles uses to supply its water.
The red roads use red volcanic ash from some of the volcanoes in that part of the desert.
thanks for the tid-bit
Your entire series deserves to be on Netflix, Ed.

True!!!

@Darren How is that, I watched it ?
Yes! @netflix
It's incredible how great you've gotten at filming, presenting, editing, etc all your adventures since you began. I wish you had these skills at the beginning, especially in the sections between Europe and China.
Christ. I can only imagine how tedious it is to setup a camera, cycle across to get the shot, then go back and get it. Appreciate your effort.
Just watched this with four grandchildren ages 2 through 7. They loved it and so did I! I'm sure your parents are glad you are done and safe.
Wow. That was awesome. You'll have some outstanding memories to last a life time. Take care, Al
unicycling the mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter

@10:03 You are cycling across Death Valley and a RAF Tornado flies by!

@@Kalumbatsch I was thinking it could be German or RAF. I didn't even think about the Italians.
I drive through Death Valley in a 40yo car and THAT was pretty frightening.
Props. Keep the rubber side down.
This probably took a long long time to finish
Uhh you think?
Dude the story telling of this episode is on point!!!!! Amazing work
You find the best in people, Ed. I don't think it's luck, I think the universe is drawn to your demeanor.

Loving this series so far
hell of a series this is Ed
10:04 I can't believe you got to see a Tornado!!
Its not uncommon to see them there. Panamint Valley is a low level training area. The most common jet is the F-18, as there is 2 navy bases in the area, but you will see all sorts of aircraft doing to Jedi Transition/ Rainbow Canyon run. Google those terms for some cool videos.
Especially as all British Tornados are now not in service. Bet I worked on her though.
It's Italian.
Really cool how some people have installed that water tank, just a shame they left no simple sign explaining how to use it haha
Cuz cattle can't read lol. They probably don't want strangers using it anyway. If visitors left the water on, that could spell death for a bunch of cattle if they couldn't get replacement water trucked out in time.
