I also live full time in an off grid yurt in a cold climate. And have wanted a sauna - though the $$$ tag has stopped me. I smiled through the building tour. Learned something valuable about needing clear cedar for at least some of the interior. And just enjoyed your video. Will watch more videos. Maybe tomorrow when we are forecasted to get a Nor’easter.
Hi Pinetree282. The $$$ is sooo worth it! Especially because it’s a no screen zone. Lots of good talks in there with one another and family and friends. And… great alone time on other occasions. Glad you enjoyed the video. Your comment made us so happy.

What you have is already 85 % fine sauna for us Finns too. Make one change and you’ll have real sauna experience. Get rid of that stove, that is made for heating cabins and buy real sauna stove. That takes about 50 kg stones in it and have small water tank integrated in it. Whith that real sauna stove you will use sauna more than once a week😉. Have a nice springtime.
Nice job .. but fyi .. shingles are layered from bottom up .. they are upside down .. the same with your metal .. bottom sheet should tuck under the top sheet … you’re asking for a ton of water damage .
It definitely got over heated and had to put it outside in a freezing temperature to cool it down for sure. The steam and condensation was more of the problem.

Can’t use a camera that long on a real sauna

That’s not a sauna .. it’s a hot room… sauna has rocks and you through water on them for humidity…. Also cold water to your skin.
We actually have rocks on the stove that we put water on and enjoy the steam.
Thats not sauna. Belive me I know, I am finnish .😂
Yes it is a Canadian sauna, maybe not even a Canadian one. I am not even sure what it even is. not the authentic Finish one for sure haha
