The story is very similar to mine, digital marketing made me financially independent at a young age. I started at age 14 and I have learned a lot to date
@@ShaneHummus I started coding websites, then build one blog (tech niche: new products) that is a hypercometitive niche. So, I went through all about SEO, UX, and Analytics. Got some results, outranked Forbes, etc. But was my naive mistake to start in such a competitive niche. That's when a man asked to build a website and do digital marketing for him. And I started my journey from there.
Might be too late for him to see this, but Shane could you do Lawyer next? I know it is difficult to be successful in the career but an insight into the career from someone who has their foot in the door may be beneficial for aspiring lawyers.
So it's been widely known that there is a massive need for digital marketers since 2015 and even earlier, yet the total amount of open positions on linkedin have gone up from 20k positions to 280k positions earlier this year. Many of them are entry level. So I don't believe you have to worry about any saturation happening any time soon.

Outstanding! What order would you place these 4 options with no modern technical skills and over 50; Tech Sales, Project Management, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics?
..one in a million....my advice...if you're able go to college; it gives you time to transition from the school system to the real world. Just make sure NO LOANS.
@@hi1916Look into resources that pay for college. Employer education assistance, Scholarships, grants, military G.I. I'm a big fan of certificates and I think they provide a lot of value overall. With that being said, I don't see hundreds of reviews and video testimonials like Seth's course has on the google certification website, so I would personally rather invest in the course that thousands have had success with.
Google's training is very basic - and also something you have to bear in mind is that Google makes money from their clients no matter what. It's kind of like having a casino train you on how to gamble. They might give you a good overview but they really aren't going to give you the best ways to maximize performance. In fact if you connect with Google's reps 99% of the time they are trained to get their clients to spend more money, that is their go to solution. Wheras at an agency we partner with Google but with a much more critical eye and making sure the client's budget is being spent in the most efficient way.
@@ShaneHummus I'm stuck between accounting and IT, isn't IT Management and MIS the same thing my community college doesn't have MIS or it management which is why Im stuck between accounting and IT Management, very different careers but I've pretty much narrowed it down to tech and business, due to the fact that I want to do 6 years or less, and engineering and computer science is probably too complex for me, and health degrees were just a big no off rip
Also i like learning about personal finance and I'm pretty good at math, but not at the engineering level, i wanted to do MIS due to the fact that it has both Tech and business, or should I look for a college who has MIS?

I am 19 and I was contemplating what to do since I graduated from Highschool a year ago (economics) now, I got an idea, thank you!
my biggest worry is that digital marketing might be oversaturated in the future
