We hear drills, traps you name them all the time now so enough about them. Make more Boom Bap tutorials. They sound more sick TBH! No enough words to describe you Jay. You don't get tired of killin it 🎹🔥
@@razztastic I hate drill beats but dude, drill tutorials are the kind of videos that make the most views on his channel, don't blame me, blame the audience and algorithm.
As someone who's been making BoomBap for over 20 years, I approve of this beat. Been messing with trap and drill lately but this made me want to go back to my roots and pull out some vinyl. Salute
This is a sound I still love so much. Hard for other's to hear it with out someone rapping over it. Adding vocals over at the end was genius. Gave me goosebumps it was so good.
Really authentic sounding with the acapella over it at the end! If I never saw this video and just heard the final mix, I just would have assumed it was a long lost B-side or EP mix. Excellent work!
Hey man sick tutorial. I stopped listening to hip hop rap at the turn of the 2000s just as the style changed from that gritty nature I enjoyed. These days I produce Techno and House more so but you really nailed that old vibe in modern times 💯 scored a sub man.
In survival of the fittest havoc used the sample at 2 different pitches and played them as notes. Such a subtly complex touch, and I think if your sample switch pitches throughout the song it could give it more depth
Dude, this is sick. When I first heard that sample I thought nah, it's whack but HOW WRONG I was. You nailed it. I'm impressed, consider me subscribed.
I had no clue you could chop the samples up like that as an MPC. Can't wait to try this, especially when I'm not very good with sampling. Thank you so much!
I give credit to you for doing this video. This mixing thing is technical, and skill vs teachings will have a field day, but direction is keen, respect.
Great job yuh smashed it Bruv 🔥 I’ve been listening to hip hop and making beats on mpc 3000 like Havoc since the 90s and theres just something special about the timing and sound of the 3000 the 3000 bangs straight out of box then when you print it to tape put the api on there it’s all over 😂
Awesome beat! Definitely getting the 90s boom bap vibe. Would appreciate you doing more boom bap videos e.g. Primo style beats or early Wu Tang style beats. Keep rockin
BoomBap Producer, which I tried different beat style. Good beginning, but boombap can be also more advanced, when you starting putting ghost notes on the kicks, snare and Hi Hat. For example I always created an small dry kick with lower volume and the main kick is a fully kick. Then before the main kick hits, use the dry kick in 16 triplet. That way you creating a fuller kick. Same with the snares. I often using an rimshot between the snares. And when comes to the hi hats, use swing on that. And LAYERING the drum sounds. I often put between three to eight different kicks. When Im happy with that, I put an 808 boom sound on it. The base is to much west coast for me. Use and subbase or an muted base. Sidechain the base so it ducks for the kick. Mix it flat and bus it out. In that way, when you mastering it out, it would be fire.
like your channel alot like your sample pack kits alot love watching your beat production videos alot i like going to your channel to learn stuff keep it up
