I'm so glad Tamiya reissued this kit ! Now all those selling them for a small fortune are paying for it now. Great kit and I'm glad you are the one building the Ant Eater !! I built the HK 1/32 kit and it was a real PITA. It's Christmas come early !!!
This plane was the fastest propeller-based plane created in world War II coming to a world-record-breaking speed of 846 km/h (474 mph). It was equipped with an ejector seat that when activated, the back propeller and tailfin would jettison off so that the pilot would actually be able to survive such speeds. I have seen the Do 335 at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C., and one thing that I can say about it is that it is one massive plane. Every feature on it is just so robust, and the propellers are astonishingly large.
I remember seeing it at the Air and Space museum, and you’re correct, it is big. It kind of reminded me of the Grumman Guardian; I saw one at the Naval Air museum in Pensacola Florida, and was awestruck by its size! 😳
The Pfeil by Tamiya was one of my *favorite* models as a kid- so much so I think I made it twice! A rare honor in my model building days. Of course, I also eventually destroyed them somehow along with all the others.😔Oh, the days!
It's in my stash and I am looking forward to the build. I am so glad Tamiya decided to re-release this kit. It would take me four days to do the propellers, lol
Dusan I'd love to own one of your fine artworks!..........**as usual, watching you do your magic, is one of my favorite ways of relaxing, THANK YOU BROTHER FOR SHARING!**
Helllo mr.sma!i enjoyed the build very much.and i have been deliciously Entertained. Thank you for sharing.keep the faith.with sticky greetings from Brandenburg/germany.your modellmate.christian
Excellent stuff as always! This vid inspired me to get my TAM Do-335A kit out of the stash and start building it. Of course I also bought this issue of the kit, because reasons.
Fantastic job Dusan, I purchased this kit last week, nice to see how you assembled and painted it, This is my 3rd Do 335A, might spend the money and get it in 1/32nd scale.
Typical TAMIYA QUALITY… I appreciate the figures and the KUBALWAGON … I seen TAMIYA is reissuing some 1/48 AIRCRAFT kits, with vehicles Is this one of them ??????? NICE JOB, you have my LIKE SUBSCRIBED, I’ll keep watching… CHRIS from OHIO 🇺🇸
Not only is it nice to see some reissues with the vehicles, it's even better when the kit set undercuts the base kit sitting on the same shelf! I just picked up the 109 and Ki-61 bundles for this reason.
As a four days build - looks perfect! I'm not sure drinking&modelling gives good result, but nevertheless - nice to see so good result. All the best for You! ;)
A great built and great Tamiya kit well done, some feedback with airbrush try and use a .3-5 needle airbrush is a good allrounder, your spray pattern looks like a fine .2 needle and this can causes paint build up as it is too fine pattern to cover bigger areas over wings and fuselage and to get good coverage you have to then hose paint on with a .2 needle . The paint struggles then to self level itself properly .To self level use mr hobby levelling thinners 30%paint 70% thinners with 12psi-15psi and build up light cotes light passes building up slowly . On this model you can see paint build up on leading edges and engine cowling and the black props as it hasn't self levelled .This then throws out the scale of the finish . But overall a great results and great engineered kit from Tamiya .
This is a flawless model. Tons of extras. And i really think that mqnufacturers should add nose counterweight to every model. It's very inconvenient to look for solution.
In the past I've built a couple of the old Monogram 1/48 Dornier Do335A Pfiel kits, which had numerous parts fit issues. This relatively modern Tamiya version looks a distinct improvement; I can see me building it in the very near future.
Finally you’re back
Tamiya kits are just so awesome...love Tamiya kits.
I'm so glad Tamiya reissued this kit ! Now all those selling them for a small fortune are paying for it now. Great kit and I'm glad you are the one building the Ant Eater !! I built the HK 1/32 kit and it was a real PITA. It's Christmas come early !!!
In 1975 i was making military , formula 1 and motorcycles Tamiya , and at the time it was already the best and nothing has changed .
I honestly think it was the coolest looking plane of the war
Questo è il Dusan che vogliamo vedere .😊

Provided the pilot survives the enormous acceleration of the ejection seat...
I remember seeing it at the Air and Space museum, and you’re correct, it is big. It kind of reminded me of the Grumman Guardian; I saw one at the Naval Air museum in Pensacola Florida, and was awestruck by its size! 😳
i think you're the best airplane model builder on youtube.
Superb! So glad you're building again.
I have never had a problem spraying clear spray on decals before.but its about time you came back but please make longer videos
Dusan makes it look effortless, casually throws the camo guide to one side, just a pleasure to watch the model take shape. Inspiring.
Cant belive you took only 4 days, amazing
The Pfeil by Tamiya was one of my *favorite* models as a kid- so much so I think I made it twice! A rare honor in my model building days. Of course, I also eventually destroyed them somehow along with all the others.😔Oh, the days!
I have the pro modeller kit still looking forward to the build. Happy modelling from Aussie
@ Cheers, Trev!
I was just looking to buy this kit the other day. Nice build!
WoW!!! Tamiya kits are always one step ahead
It's been a month
Finally you'r back
Oh, it’s one of those new bundle sets! Definitely have to pick one up myself sometime!
It's in my stash and I am looking forward to the build. I am so glad Tamiya decided to re-release this kit. It would take me four days to do the propellers, lol
Haha I no how you feel. This fella is one to watch he makes it look so easy
Looks like you're a Tamiya fan, just like me.🙂 Good job, nice kit!
Another Outstanding video and presentation.
Great work! What a cool airplane.
Beautiful build as always such a interesting plane
Beautiful as always.
So nice to see you building. Great subject & amazing plane. As always brilliant build & video.
Very nice work. Meticulous out of the box work. My favourite
Nice job as always Dusan! But now I need this kit too… 😅
Excellent! I have a Do-335A & 2 Do-335Bs in my stash. Your build will help me a lot.
Imagine what it would look like with a bubble canopy - instead of that old fashioned , glass-house look ! Your colours look great .
This canopy design was intentionnal for a better CX and due to small armed glasses as well.
Excellent job building and painting your Tamiya 1/48 Dornier Do 335A Pfeil, Dusan! Thank you too for posting your excellent video!
Solid aircraft and build video Dusan !
I'm getting mine out the box now ...
Thanks for video
Great share again friend !
Another very nice build!

真漂亮,去年在香港买了,还没开始做!
Awesome job !!!!
Any updates on the
ICM Ki-21 sally ?
You did that in four days, huh? If I spent four years I couldn't do nearly as good a job!
Very nice build, sir! Only thing I don’t like about this kit is I wish it offered the two seat night fighter version like the Monogram kit does.
Unique plane.. nice build and nice music ✈️🎶👍

IT'S A "PUSH ME, PULL YOU" - REFERENCE TO THAT CREATURE ON THE MOVIE - DR. DOLITTLE 😂 !!!
Sweet!
Do you have plans to show around your recording setup and paint workstation. I am really interested how other people manage their layout.
As a four days build - looks perfect! I'm not sure drinking&modelling gives good result, but nevertheless - nice to see so good result. All the best for You! ;)
..... Ist Alkoholfrei 😉
@@kleinerkrieger7860 Good to know! ;)
What a nice bird!!!
Great work.
Beautiful build. When you say it took you 4 days to finish; how many hours each day was that?
Very good job, like it.
Great choice for a video. Very cool looking plane. Your videos really make it look easy with great results.
Very nice 👍
Looks cool.

I would recommend you change the blue background for black
Awesome work!
Bravo👏👏👏
Beautiful plane,excellent work.😀
Can we have a video of ur collection of models together? Would love that thx
For the Hand/Brush Painting, is that Tamiya Enamels, Acrylics, or Lacquer paints?
👍👍👍
This is a flawless model. Tons of extras. And i really think that mqnufacturers should add nose counterweight to every model. It's very inconvenient to look for solution.
Nice kit and nice vidéo ! :o)
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥
I have to ask. Do you ever lose parts when you snip them off the sprue and let them fly? Another great job on a great plane.
Which Nozzle do you use for priming? 0.3mm?
👏👍👍👍👏
Did anyone besides me notice that t6here is no swastika decal for the verticular tail. Is this kit destined for sale in Germany?
🤝🎥⚒👍
Wo ist der kubelwagen?
Noch in der Schachtel
Deserved white on black mottling before colours
Where is the swastika ??
hurry, but nice....
NO BREAKFAST XAXAXA🤪🤪🤪🤪
これは少し前に買ったから満足してます嬉しい
