Our 6 year old son Anhad made me write this comment after watching this video "This video was really beautiful and I loved it. When we were in Ushuaia we drove these roads and we saw penguins". From our side thank you for taking us on the Patagonia memory lane. Love your stories and your experiences. Hope we all can meet one day, till then love and best wishes from Texas...
Well... It's been an honor and a pleasure being along with you for this journey... Thank you both SOOO much for sharing this with us! I guess we'll just have to wait and see what you guys have planned next... Safe travels!!!
Amazing videos.. thank you . Patagonia is my dream destination. I am from Chile but left my home country when I was 2 years old and I love almost my entire life in Sweden. Haven't been to Chile on like 11 years now. Gives me the chills seeing al the amazing roads, mountains, lakes and al what you show us .. thank you .. y VIVA Chile 🇨🇱
Y’all are the very best filmmakers. You are living your dreams and making amazing film in the process. Congratulations y’all, you’re crushing it. And thank you for sharing your adventure with us, you made us feel like we were there.
The second most southerly point is Bluff Peninsular in New Zealand’s South Island. Driving the length of New Zealand is only about 1/20 of what you have done but still a remote place for most people to visit. I am very lucky to call it home, and where I explore the backroads with my 28 year old Toyota Landcruiser Prado and live-in trailer. I would love you to visit my country.
Bro, i still remember the day you came and bought a set of headers for your old WD21 Pathfinder up in CR. Look at you now, boy! Loving the journey, would be cool to meet up again when you finally get home. I'm living down south on the island now. Still got the ol' WD21 and she's a turbo oil burner now :D Would be cool to do some local runs with you when you get back! First comment ohhhhhh yeah
Love the trip, the truck, but mostly the infectious smiles.... The serious voice of Stacy and the occasional (more than that) giggle... Mathews commentary... par excellance..... you two ROCK... and congrats btw.... EPIC
What an epic, perfect place, the time, the latitude, the longitude, and most of all what a lovely proposal. Man😢I was tears. Good, good luck. Blessings
Hi Mathew & Stacy, As I love to travel (specially go on road trips), I mostly watch Food & Travel vlogs. For some time, I have been watching road trips of Lucas T. Jahn. After watching most of his road trip vlogs, I decided to search for road trip vlogs on South America. That's how I came across your vlog on Columbia. Once I started watching your vlogs, I ended up watching your vlogs on Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala and Patagonia. I cannot, frankly speaking, refrain from saying that South America was that pristine and beautiful. In addition to that, I should also say that the way your vlogs have described South America makes it look more beautiful and pristine. Having said that, I must appreciate both of your passion to travel and create content from the bottom of my heart which is evident from the same. Having said that, I am now so desirous of exploring South America by road. By concluding, I wish both of you the BEST of everything in your endeavors in exploring other parts of the world to know the geography, people, culture, tradition etc. In addition to that, I would humbly request both of you to explore Africa & India, if possible.
I enjoyed your beautiful ride at Patagonia and was also able to experience the YES 🥳💐 together. I wish you good luck and many more beautiful and safe kilometers.
Your documentary on Patagonia's overland travel is breathtaking and inspiring. The stunning visuals and captivating storytelling truly transport viewers into the heart of this wild region. And I Am Float Village Life.
You guys are so cool, I love everything about your channel the drone footage, your rig, your narration, your relationship to each other etc... I could go on & on. Officially my favorite channel! Truly inspirational! Wishing you all the best! Matt & Maricela
I love all your videos. I’ve always wanted to travel. My favorite so far is between Guatemala and Patagonia. I love that you wanted to get to Patagonia for the leaves changing. I would do that too I love that you take all the back roads and not so much of cities. Yours is our favorite, by far, of all the overlanders we’ve watched. You’re such real down to earth people. Just irselves. Great job!!
What an awesome trip you guys had we loved every minute coming along with you both on your journey. You took us on this amazing trip of pure beauty. Now we are looking foreword to whatever you throw at us next. Welcome home to our beautiful Island. We live on Thetis Island. ❤
Hey guys, love your work, videos, post-production, narration - all is magnificent. Also, 37:17, truck you have been asking about, "what is this?", it is russian (deliberately writing in small caps) production truck called UAZ. It has been in production since '50s, and you can still buy brand new truck today, still looks the same, and uses almost all same parts. Engines have been slightly modified, but that is it. Basically it is piece of shit, falls apart randomly and often. But highly popular in Eastern Europe and Western Asia due to the fact they have limited and difficult access to anything from westerns market. Parts are very cheap, trucks highly popular, available brand new, that is what makes high demand on growing markets from former Soviet Union territory. Nevertheless If you get one, swap with toyota's engine and solid axles, that would make it hell of a good truck :) Good luck guys! Safe travels!
It's absolutely amazing. My wife and I love your videos. Sending prayers your way to keep you both safe. P.S..... we totally agree, Coffee is the BEST when it's cold outside!
Just watching you Patagonia series after binge watching your entire trip, I have to relate to your feeling on the ‘similarity’ between Patagonia and Canada. I am an overlander in New Zealand and I was thinking as I watched the northern Patagonia video, how similar it was to the southern part of. New Zealand. I think the reality is that every country has amazing places and people if you just get away from the city-centric daily grind and go looking for them.
Where are you guys right now as I saw a vehicle similar to yours in Northern Ontario, on my return from paddling in Quetico Park, and wondered if it was you. It’s hard to miss the old school round headlight trucks. My father had a ‘71 hilux with the marker lights on the fenders so they hold a bit of nostalgia for me.
Beautiful love story - Congratulations to you both!! Mad love from the east coast of Canada. I love your journey and thank you for taking me a long :) --
Spectacular content as usual, you guys are killing it!!!! The camp site 10 min into the video is a frigging dream!! At If you were talking about the car @37:05, that's a UAZ, a Russian off-road, we had plenty of those in Europe back in the 80s and 90s.
Matthew, what vehicle would you recommend to do this journey in? I am thinking about Tom's Fahrzeugtechnik World cruiser 5, maybe too big? Or a Troop Carrier with the Alu-Cab roof conversion. Thanks
I'm so happy for you guys what awesome adventures I'm hoping to find a lady to experience such things with also them I have to figure out the finances but that's a small obstacle 😂😂
Watched you airing up again. You need Morrflate. Nifty manifold with 4 hoses that lock on each wheel. I can go from 15 psi to 35 psi in about 15 mins. Also, when is the wedding? I need a good road trip…
I’m curious…when you said “Now THIS feels like Patagonia,” was that because you’d been there before and in that moment of the skies opening up and displaying its horizon your memory was relived, or had you never been before and your heart simply knew, or found a place of synergy between what you wanted it to be and what you were now existentially experiencing? I’m curious because if it’s the latter, how amazing is it that our essence, our core, our hearts simply “know” when our dreams are almost as real as reality itself…or perhaps they are indeed One.
We both had never been to Patagonia before. We have watched videos, listened to people on podcasts and audiobooks describe it and have seen photos. The feeling in that moment camped in nature surrounded by mountain peaks more jagged than we've ever witnessed, we knew we were in a spot someone had talked about before. We could feel the descriptive words flowing through us as we soaked it all in.
I really hate to say it, but if Butch and Sundance's cabins were in North America they'd be totally covered with graffiti! Very cool to see them as they were❤
It seems like TH-cam is full of GenZ’s from all over exploring and experiencing the World and all it has to offer and they do this seemingly with unlimited resources and financial assistance from the unkown ☝🏻 I guess I’m jealous being GenX having to have worked all my life and gone nowhere 😖
Soooooooo happy for you! Congrats!! I dragged my wife in to show her the proposal. That has to be one of the all-time most epic proposal videos ever.
Hah! So awesome! Thank you so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼
The slower your means of travel, the more meaningful the discoveries will be.

storytelling is decent but the photography is off quite a bit.

Almost daily. Extremely grateful is an understatement

I really appreciate how you guys respect the "no wild camping" rules. Some other TH-camrs ignore those kinds of things for views, but you guys rock!!!
