I cannot fathom why anyone would give this video a thumbs down. Seriously people? I think this is THE "go to" video for paper beads. You don't need to watch any other videos. No offense to anyone that has made one, but this video really covers it ALL beautifully. Thank you Jenni for taking the time to do this.
At last, an interesting demo, I watched every second of it, a pleasant voice, and you stayed in sight the whole time. So many demonstrators pop in and out of camera range as they duke their product. I may as well delete all the others, your video. Is all I’ll need. Thank you so much for a clear and concise explanation……and to think I nearly didn’t watch, having watched half a dozen already, searching for ideas, then here you are with all the ideas I need. Thankyou, thankyou
I just wanted to let you know, jennibellie, that this tutorial has provided me with a job. My mother in law and I make and sell bracelets with beads I make and swavorski crystals from mom. Ppl are going nuts over these bracelets. Ty so very much for sharing this and giving me the chance to keep working with my hands despite the arthritis. I will repost my bracelet onFacebook and hopefully figure out how to tag you so you can see what you inspired! Ty so much!!!
So glad that you have posted all of your embellishment tutorials in one easy spot !!! I just went on ebay and got the bead rolling tools ..... for under $5.00 and free shipping. I shall be rolling and rolling in front of the TV .... maybe now I will not fall asleep while watching a favorite program !!!! Thank You !!!
Although there are many bead tutorials out there, yours is by far more organized and offers so many options. Thank you for this. You are a great teacher!
I agree with others. I have watched so many videos on how to make paper beads. This is by far the best one! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and creativity with all of us. I didn't think I could learn much more, but I learned many new tips.
I've been dabbling with paper beads for about 6 months. Tonight I tried something I thought I'd share. The base paper was stark white and a little too bright against the dark colors so I broke out some pearlized tan/gold nail polish and coated them. Added bonus it has hardener in it, and I love the end product! It was fun to watch the scantily clothed girls from my travel mag disappear into the bead!!
This is, by far, the best rolled paper bead video on TH-cam!! You have demonstrated every step in the process and narrated with tip after tip on getting successful results. I come back to this video now and again just to make sure that I haven't missed anything. I use paper beads as embellishments on cards...love that I get a perfect match to my project. Thanks for taking the time to make this video! Much appreciated!
Jennibelle, I personally would like to let you know that out of all of the paper jewelry tutorials I have watched, YOU have brought it "home" with a much greater simplicity and less complicated way of a Craft I love!!! I will go over and over again to refresh if it has been some time since making the beads. Good news, I have made the four sizes of rollers I use most! Thank-you for your videos and the PATIENCE you give! May you be 😅continually BLESSED!!!❤😂🎉😊😅😮😢🎉 "This Craft is quite addictive!
i love this video-..i am a jewelry instructor in NC & the fact that you do not edit out your mistakes proves you are a true artist...no one is perfect & in artistry some of our greatest pieces come from trial & error.... Your beads are beautiful & i cannot wait to make some of them !!
Hi there, thanks for sharing your bead making ideas, just to let you know, when I make paper beads, once I make my first roll with the paper, I then add a tiny bit of glue, this assures that the bead won't move in & out or about. I really enjoy making paper beads in many different shapes & sizes. I use booklets, magazines, junk mail, cereal box & imaged paper as well. Oh I also wanted to mention that when I use even a thin cardboard type of paper, once getting to the end, it feels a bit thick & won't lay flat very well, so my trick is to first slightly dampen about 1 1/2" up from the end of that cardboard & using a small metal tool, I use a nail file, I then lightly & carefully scrape off about half of that thickness away, then I make my beads & easily can glue down that end piece.
@@keener57 Oh no problem, anyhow I hope that my end of the cardboard for the beads trick will be helpful to anyone reading this, bead making is great for stress relief.
Compliments on your excellent tutorial! And your hands are so beautifully clean and well cared for! In watching other tutorials, I am shocked to see dirty fingernails. Well done, young lady!
Thank you for not editing your video and cutting out your mishaps. Because by not editing editing your video it shows that everybody can have mishaps. And with that being said maybe when somebody tries it and it doesn't work for the first time they will try to second or even a third and not give up. It is kind thoughtful people like you it makes people want to try more crafts.
Your video is by far the best one out there. I watched so many was going to give up trying until I saw your video. Thanks a buch. Monica from Tennessee
I saw in another tutorial that if you use nail polish, the bead won't be as hard as it would be if you use the glaze, you would be able to squish it and it wouldn't last as long. AMAZING tutorial! Definitely the best one I've seen. Thank you!!
You are the best! You explain so clear and thorough! I just had a stroke and I am working very hard to get back to normal. This will be great therapy for me! Thank you so very much! Much love from the USA! Amanda
thanks learned a lot .and here is my humble contribution -- i started making pandora style beads out of toilet paper rolls ( you need to paint them of course) they have unique texture ' which liooks like clay and they absorb paint very well .
If anyone watched this video and didn't give it a "thumbs up" then that's just wrong! This is an excellent video. Thank you for all the tips. My mind is racing now!
I love your paper beads. I saw large saucer beads made into little pouches or purses. You can wear them like a necklace. they use very long strips of paper to make these huge saucer paper beads and they push the middle in and it creates a purse or puce. It even has ha little lid on it, made from another large saucer bead. They are gorgeous and I would love to see a tutorial on how to make them. But your beads are beautiful, thank you so much. Hugs!
I made these as a kid and that was a long, long time ago.You gave me new ideas I had never seen a couple of these. TFS,and thanks for the memories. I will be sharing with my grand and great grand children. I think they will love doing these.(((HUGS)))
Your video description deserves an A+ all by itself. I've never done paper beading. Someone in my paracord group showed one she made today. I couldn't wait to learn how to do it. Fortunately, your tutorial was only the second I looked at. I don't know if there's any reason to look at others. Awesome, awesome job. Thank you!
Not crazy how everyone seems to speak of the USA as crafters, when Canadians are terrific crafters. Do you forget that we're no longer a Dòminion, but 4raher a country? Not just you, but seems like every crafter I watch on most TH-cam videos. I for one, really feel left out and I learn much from the videos. Thanx for letting me rant. Just got on the paper bead band wagon! This video has been incredibly helpful- thanks!! As a zentangle enthusiast I decided to make a copy of one of my zentangle pages and make beads!! Love the result!!
Really enjoyed this video showing all the different shapes of paper beads. I especially like the double-beads and the foiled ones. Nice that you didn't edit out the mistakes so that we can see how to fix them as they occur.
I have been looking for a "how to" from start to finish....just what I needed. Thanks so much! I loved your comment about using paper you don't really like. I have tons of scrapbooking paper I don't like...and I knew that paper would or could work into some nice paper beads. Really the entire reason I was looking to make paper beads!
Very good, I am so inspired to make the beads for my journals this way. I did find a little "cheater" contraption on Amazon, the 4M Recycled Paper Beads kit - for age 5 and up which is perfect for me and as I am basically 8 when it comes to crafting, right in my age group =) I have a touch of arthritis and injured my hand this past summer-which is healing nicely I might add-however I felt that this was the perfect way to get the craft and not get totally frustrated. As always, Jenni, thanks for all your generosity in sharing.
Thank you for sharing! It's still available and has good reviews. I think I will get this for Christmas to do with my granddaughter. She'll be five by then, but she already wears little bracelets for kids. I think she'll love making her own! ❤️
I love the way that you to the time to explain the major components of "how to" and even showed mistakes, as they will be made in the journey to perfecting this craft. You gave many options to the crafter, which is nice because many will have only basic and not so many sophisticated materials. Thank you for this lovely tutorial. I am a multi-crafter and always seek to find ways to reuse and recycle many things that I already have on hand, and your tips are very valuable. Awesome job!
Your video is the BEST most COMPREHENSIVE and detailed paper bead video I’ve ever seen. WOW! I’ve learned sooo..... MUCH! thanks. Sorry your not still making videos 😔😔😔
im trying out paper bead making for the first time and your video is all i needed to inspire my creations. this is honestly the best video i could find for bead making and i love all your tips and tricks you give. so wonderful!
Jennie, what a good tutorial. I can see how this could be addictive, as it looks like it is therapeutic. The fun part is in the decorating, too. Coloured magazines could be good to use for the beads, also. Thank you for sharing, you do such a good job with all of your tutorials x
This is just an amazing tutorial for bead making. I never realized how many different types of beads that can be made. Your decorating of the beads make it such a rewarding accomplishment. They are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Barb USA
Fantastic tutorial young lady!! Mahalo so much for sharing all your knowledge with the world...you’re awesome. Your quality of video is wonderful, and I love the fact that you left the slight "mistakes" and re-rolls in it. I love the foils and the artwork on the last beads you showed.
Wow!! I can't wait to get started on these. Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing your video looking forward to making these for friends and family.
Hello, You have done such a great job !! I am a new paper bead maker and you given me the virus of making more and more beads !! Thanks for sharing with us !!
This is the best tutorial EVER, for paper beads. I've shared it at least three times already on different FB pages. Thank you so much for taking all this time, and showing us all your mistakes and HOW to correct them.
I like your things very much :-) I have never thougt about making beads or buttons myself. - and it is very therapeutic for me, that is a bonus for me. BIG thanks from Denmark
Your video is so detailed and has so much information on it. And the fact that you went through all the types of beads and how to make them, it's even better. Thank you! I recently found out about paper beads and let me tell you I about cried and screamed bloody murder, because last year I did a clean up in my closet and pretty much threw away 10 years worth of collecting fashion magazines 😭. They would've been amazing for this new hobby! 😭😭😭😭😭 I kick myself in the butt for it and SOOOOO wish I could go back in time to NOT have done that! I filled up two recycle bins, with wheels on them, with all my magazines. Oh my poor treasure! 😢 BUT I'll start over and since I can always subscribe to those magazine and have digital access to the archives, I'll be printing them instead. Well I guess my money will go to buying paper and ink but hey I'll get the pretty pictures again and will be able to use them for paper beads! 😜 Yesterday I got a lot of pamphlets and coupon magazines to start with those. Plus I also have some newspaper that I colored over and used my own doodles with pens and gel pens lol. And I had saved some chip bags and cookie wraps, since they got foil on them, I will incorporate those too. Same with the yogurt container tops and seals. ✌️😁 I also got glue, some coffee stirs and skewer sticks to try with those as well. Oh plus the glitter and nail polish to use as paint as well and the glue to seal it. Oh the possibilities are endless. Thanks so much for the motivation!!! God bless!! 🎉❤
Oh no!! I've done that before, not two full bins worth but it sure is annoying...you'll find things turn up when you begin looking for them though - put the feelers out to family and friends and you'll soon have your stash growing quickly again. Happy creating 💕
I love that you chose not to edit your video showing that even those who are well practiced in making beads can still make a mistake. Gives those of us just starting to create beads hope. Thank you for your excellent tutorials!
Just wanted to add some insight about clear nail polish and how it will last over time. My grandmother made and sold paper beads in the 1970s, and used clear nail polish as a sealant. They have held up well to this day, although there is some discoloring on a few of the beads, a slight yellow tint.
@@sarahlopresti8892 You can use catalogs from any company actually. I just suggested yarn because that is what I seem to get the most from. Clothing companies would work, too.
to keep the whole bead stable, and not have it unravel or have layers move, add glue through the whole process, or every little bit of the way. But I loooooooove this video!! greatest video on paper beads, thanks.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your videos with us. Not only are you talented, but you are patient and your tutorials are so easy to follow.
I really loved your tutorial. So many fantastic things to make your beads unique. Thanks for your many ideas. I can use them for earrings for my granddaughters and their friends earrings for xmas, wonderful
sooooooo super love your video!!! and i have learned a lot. I am doing some right now and this video definitely got me more inspired to go on... thank you!!!! I love the last one, your original artwork. I might be just doing something like that. Thank you again Jennibellie! Keep inspiring more crafters!
I am just beginning on my bead making journey and Shannon Green suggested watching your video. I learned quite a bit from you. Thank you for sharing your expertise! :)
Thank you for sharing! I think I am now addicted to making paper beads, and I haven't yet made any! Not even one :) it is at the top of my list thanks to you! Thank you for your detailed explanations!!!
beautiful! thanks for sharing the ideas. i'm also addicted to paperbead making. since it is hard to get any kind of glaze around here, i have been using (cheap) nail polish for glazing and it gives great and lasting results, too.
WOW, and to think I threw out some triangle beads in my earlier attempts because I thought they were wrong. Now I know that nothing is wrong so I wont be throwing out anything. OH OH I feel a new hoard coming on. Thanks Jennie, this was an awesome tutorial - I watched it from start to finish with my eyes glued to the screen. hugs. xx
jennibellie First off, I love that ring you are wearing. I was admiring it the entire time. I wanted to thank you for sharing this with us, it has helped me so much with making different shapes of beads and given me ideas for new projects. I also loved the flat bead tutorial (and have made a Vin Diesel/Riddick necklace from a paper DVD outer wrap with flat and rolled beads) and I have watched a lot of the others, like the cereal box journal, paper towel fabric, homemade stencils and stamps just to name a few. I wanted to add and ask have to ever made your own gesso or paints? I have been seeing a lot of homemade gesso videos and homemade paints from crayons and coconut oil. Also I have been melting pony beads for flat back gems to use in my book. You have inspired me to have a scrapbook and learning how to draw, I never thought I would like to do that. I am not very artistic and I usually just stick to making my own jewelry. Thank you for all that you do! You are awesome!
Thank you for a wonderful idea on using paper I'm not too fond of. Now I can make something beautiful out of it. I just love all of your ideas, you are so creative!!
Wow this is fantastic. Im disabled and you have just taught me how to do a hobbie that i could manage. Thankyou xx

You are so welcome! Thanks for commenting 😊
@@jennibellie Thank you for the good wishes! 🥰🤗 Have a lovely day and likewise.
I love that you chose not to edit your video showing that even those who are well practiced in making beads can still make a mistake. Gives those of us just starting to create beads hope. Thank you for your excellent tutorials!
Wonderful to see what you can do and learn from other people with the same interest!
Just wanted to add some insight about clear nail polish and how it will last over time. My grandmother made and sold paper beads in the 1970s, and used clear nail polish as a sealant. They have held up well to this day, although there is some discoloring on a few of the beads, a slight yellow tint.
I always come back to you, jennibellie. Best paper bead tute on TH-cam! Love your nail polish too, it's still rockin in 2016!
Love these beads. I never saw all these different shapes made with paper. Can't wait to try this .
Have fun! 😊
I know this has nothing to do with your wonderful beads but i have to say you have beautiful hands.
Wow, beautiful. I absolutely love your video. Very detailed and beautiful work. Thank you for sharing.
Great source for paper is a yarn catalog.
I'm from the United States and I am not familiar with a yarn catalog. They're just one get a yarn catalog?
@@sarahlopresti8892 You can use catalogs from any company actually. I just suggested yarn because that is what I seem to get the most from. Clothing companies would work, too.
All in one video Superb I don't want to waste time now Excellent Cuttings and Decoration Thanks Dear
This was one of the best tutorials I have seen. Thank you.
to keep the whole bead stable, and not have it unravel or have layers move, add glue through the whole process, or every little bit of the way. But I loooooooove this video!! greatest video on paper beads, thanks.
Wish I had seen this when I started beading. Very thorough and interesting. Thank you!

I am just beginning on my bead making journey and Shannon Green suggested watching your video. I learned quite a bit from you. Thank you for sharing your expertise! :)
This was amazing. You are so generous with your time and information--just incredible. I hope that the universe sends you blessings.
You do a wonderful job of teaching techniques, yet leaving the crafter's individuality a place to go. Well done!

beautiful! thanks for sharing the ideas. i'm also addicted to paperbead making. since it is hard to get any kind of glaze around here, i have been using (cheap) nail polish for glazing and it gives great and lasting results, too.
Awesome tutorial thank you, very informative, I'm amazed, loved it well explained, looking forward for the next one Zoe
WOW, and to think I threw out some triangle beads in my earlier attempts because I thought they were wrong. Now I know that nothing is wrong so I wont be throwing out anything. OH OH I feel a new hoard coming on. Thanks Jennie, this was an awesome tutorial - I watched it from start to finish with my eyes glued to the screen. hugs. xx
Excellent tutorial Jenni, best I've seen! Would not have chosen the striped paper but love how it turned out❣
This tutorial is very detailed and informative. Thank you for taking the time and sharing your knowledge with us. 😊
jennibellie First off, I love that ring you are wearing.
