I've been testing the curve settings and for me the best option would have to be dynamics with -7 but at the same time I feel like I should just leave it at default because in mw2 you already have settings such as the additional aim assist. Can you do a video on each curve setting but with mw2 multiplayer and show and explain which one is the best?!
@@iirezzii you are very welcome. I can always make a more in-depth video speaking about the curve settings on the controller and in game. There are a lot of possibilities but I say try out different settings and see what works best for your play style.
@@FrankSparapani Please do make a more in depth video and can you please help me find the best settings that feel like the way you look around in mw 2019 please? The closest I've come to is: Right Stick; Curve setting: Steady at -5 and left stick: Curve setting: Dynamic at -7 but it feels too smooth. Can you please test it out and make a more in depth video?!

Just bought this controller yesterday. Dialing it in for warzone. Already moving, jumping, sliding 10X better. Can't wait to get comfortable with he new settings. Going to be dominating!

The lever style back paddle is it for people with small hands if you have big hands, use the numbs.
I would say the lever style paddle would be more suited for smaller hands and the half domed paddle suited for larger hands. But I would say the deciding factor is how you use and grip the controller. If your fingers like to wrap and grip the controller then the lever style is perfect. If your fingers are more relaxed and spread out I can see the half domed more comfortable. I still say the lever style is the most comfortable and most natural to use.
Depends how you hold your pad I tried both ways and find both the same accept more prone to accidentally press on the paddles levers at times, would say analogue sticks defo lowest is best.
@@David-np4vo Definitely depends how you naturally hold the controller, everyones grip is slightly different. The levers just feel more natural to use for me.
I’m 6’7 large hands. The half domes feel AMAZING!
I use a paddle on the right side as X (jump)and the dome on the left as O (crouch prone) works well

Only thing I wish it had would be sensitivity curves for the back triggers. That would really be something for racing titles.

Good video just setup mine. I just wish the paddles were a bit harder to push in to activate the button 😢 they press way to easily with the slightest touch, I keep accidentally pressing them when running around. Gonna try the semi circle ones see if it’s any better

I had that problem too. I set my dead zone triggers to 1 so it’s super sensitive too much imo

Hello, so the correction youre talking about...triggers vs. bumpers...when you set the triggers to 0-1 then its quicker than the bumper right? And one more question, is it possible to quickly re-aim on the left trigger....its really only missing the mouse click😢 thank you for the answer
The mouse click triggers would be great but setting the triggers 0-1 will make them as quick as possible

Which trigger sensitivity are you referring too? On the controller, you are able to adjust the trigger stops and trigger deadzones.

Hey, you’ll enjoy using the controller. You can leave the in game to default and make all the adjustments on the controller.

@Savage_247 hey Savage sorry for the delay. Just saw this. Thanks man! I'm so lost on what settings to set the in game aim response too. I use quick -5 on left stick and Precise -2/-4 range. But dunno what to use. Standard, Linear, or Dynamic?? Also use Default or Black ops aim assist type?? Back on PS4 before PS5 edge I used Default & Dynamic

@@Aristkv and do you keep the deadzone on 0 on edge settings and adjust it in game? Because even with zero drift i have always had the in game deadzone set to .05 as my thumb is a little twitchy...the issue is that those dz settings have different range on the edge so i dont know what equals .05 in game...my guess is 2-3%

That is a very good question, I don’t have fifa so I won’t be able to test that out. I would say to try testing out a few settings to see what works best for you.
Shouldn’t deadzone trigger be 0-1? That means the second you press trigger you are aiming and shooting as fast as possible. That was setting reca other videos gave for Xbox elite series 2 for example. 0-100 should be used for driving games where you want the full set of response for acceleration and braking for instance. Glad you enjoyed watching the video. If you increase the deadzone then that means that you have to press the trigger or thumbsticks further for it to start registering but you can set the trigger deadzone to 0-1 that will work also, any touch will activate it.

So should I put off all my advance setting in Warzone and just try to figure out with the edge setting, or should I leave the game setting (deadzones) and try it together will it make it better at gameplay? Or should I just leave the game settings.
If you have your game settings set up and o how you like it then leave it and now focus on the Edge settings to perfect and get the max performance possible.

What do you think about keeping the L3 curve on quick since it might help to sprint
That can help with the sprinting but not so much if you are trying to walk slow but try it out and see what results you get.

@@ahmedebrahimi7128 my settings have stayed the same. I’ve been trying out the auto sprint feature in game. It’s been saving me from having to constantly press down L3.

In mw2 there is in-game deadzone settings that you can adjust. Since now we have the ability to change these deadzones in the Dualsense edge settings, do we set the mw2 in-game settings to default? Vise Versa, if we would like to keep the deadzone in-game settings, do we change Dualsense edge settings back to default?
I would keep the in game settings to default and adjust the settings on the controller.

On this controller can you set L3 to autorun, so instead of clicking on L3 to run you just simply move the stick to run?
You aren’t able to do that with the controller but you can turn on ,auto run when moving forward, in the in game settings.
If you can change your curve on the controller, does the in game setting mean anything?
Yes the in game settings still have an affect. Once you have your in game settings set to how you like, adjust your controller settings to perfect it.
Long petals can be placed in two different positions.
Pretty interested that they can be placed in two different pisitons but Sony only designed them to be placed one way.
prefer default setting at 0 on my analog sticks RIGHT AND LEFT and for fastest aim trigger response with the shortage possible trigger setting . the controller is a 8.5 out of a 10 wish the had the mouse click triggers to be quite honest because all I play is FPS . EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE CONTROLLER IS FANTASTIC THE BUILD QUALITY and being able to replace the whole analog module is a A++++++++++++
After reviewing a few more controllers since I made this video, this controller is missing the mouse click style buttons and triggers. If it has that would be a very close to perfect controller. It would then be missing the 4 back paddles.

@@FrankSparapani have a serious question out of all the controllers that you have tried with the mouse click for the ps5 which one would you say is the best plus build quality because there is so many controllers out there I want to make sure i get this right next time I spend 250 bucks and also which company gives good customer service as well
@@PacificOceanQuest I’m not too sure about the customer service quality of all the companies so I won’t comment on that. I have tested out a few controllers, check out my latest review video where I review the Victrix Pro BFG controller. I’m currently very impressed with this controllers function and capabilities. The bumpers have the micro switches which give the mouse click action and the trigger stops makes the triggers very response. Shorter distance than the Edge. The controller is just missing a few standard features that the Edge has.

On my dual sense Edge box it says the standard caps are the ones that come on it and the ones in the Box Are low Dome and high Dome, you said normal and high Dome caps are the ones that come in the Box but it's actually low Dome and high dome that come in the Box.. 🤔

I always have the paddles set to X and O

@@No_Love_Gaming74fe yup exactly. Jump and crouch are usually mapped to the paddles. They are the most useful to give the edge in gun fights and player movement.

The mouse click triggers seems useless, I had a Scuf impact and it was literally like a mouse click. Awesome for a FPS. Can you tell me more about this? Drift problem still here? My dualsense died after 3 months, crazy to pay brand new controller for my PS5 and it last 3 months. I really take care of it..
I currently haven’t experienced any stick drift problems. Even my original ps5 controller is still going strong.

You can reassign buttons on the Edge. What exactly are you trying to do ?

Yes you can.
is it possible to set a macro back button to trigger 2 stock buttons at once?
The controller doesn’t have the ability to do that.
I found the Half dome back buttons fit my grip style perfectly.
Everyone has a different grip and play style so it always best to try out different settings just to make sure you are using the correct one.

Yes for sure ! That would be the ultimate ps5 controller. Hopefully Sony listens and their next version will have 4 back paddles.

No, this controller doesn’t have the ability to do that.

@@echag92 the aim assist setting I have it currently set to the default one and the sensitivity I currently have it set to 6. In game sensitivity can be adjusted to what you prefer. I know some players that play way higher.
@@FrankSparapani thanks! How clickly were your symbol buttons? My cross especially is noticeably noisier than my other DualSense controllers and almost squeaking
@@echag92 the symbol buttons are the same as on the regular DualSense controller. Hmm maybe a defective part was used.
What is faster, shooting with R1 or R2 on the edge?
Using R2 and setting the trigger deadzones to 0-1 will be the fastest.
When i do percise on R6 is makes my ADS soooo slowww-- is Percise really worth it?
Not sure what you mean by slow but if you find it slow for R6 then try changing the setting to as what works best in your case.
How do you edit your buttons on PC?
Hello, great question. The controller works on PC but currently you will need to set up the controllers back buttons on the PS5. There isn’t any support yet to edit the controllers buttons directly from the PC.

I tried a few, and it made gta a little more fidgety. Do you have any recommendations on what settings to set on GTA online for dual sense edge
Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve played GTA. What settings have you currently tried ? If you up the sensitivity of the thumbsticks too much then the aim will be fidgety for sure.

Hey man, I hope everything is going well. I can get you a full list of my in game settings if you want. My sensitivity is 6 and I’m using Blacks ops. I’ve tried and messed around with a lot of settings. Don’t worry about the in games settings not meshing well with the controllers settings.

Wait, so you can't map the stick buttons to the paddles? I mean like in cod, how you have to click in the left thumb stick to sprint. I have that mapped to a paddle on my Xbox elite controller. You can't do that on this one? I was thinking about getting one, but I'm not spending that much money if that's not even possible.
For sure you can map L3 and R3 to the back paddles.

Question: I just got the edge because I wanted to replace the R3 button for melee and switch it to the back paddle but I don’t want the R3 button to function which I can’t pull off. They seem to be bound together so when I assign the back paddle the R3 is still functional and I don’t want that…only the rear paddle to melee. Anyone know if that’s possible? It’s the only reason I bought this thing haha
Hello, yes that’s possible. In the button assignments sections, as you did already, set your chosen back paddle to R3. Now go to edit the Right thumbstick, it will open up a menu with 3 options, click on option 3, this will open another menu and you’ll be able to disable R3. Your thumstick R3 will be disabled but you’ll still be able to use the paddle for R3.
Can the stick dead zone be reduced lower level than standard controller? Some game huge stick deadzone that need to be adjusted
The stick deadzones can be reduced to 0 which means any slight touch will move your character.
@@FrankSparapani but the big question is: is the 0 the same stick deadzone as standard controller or smaller?

You should be able to change that on the in game settings.

Yes, you are able to use KontrolFreek. You can try that setting and see if you like it.

Yes, keep the in game settings to default. You can always try later to set your custom deadzones back to see what it gives.
When you say default, you just mean you leave the settings that you’ve already set in game right? Cos there’s no way you’re playing with just straight default settings… right? 😂
@@isaiahbih lol I’m definitely not playing with default in game settings. I have my bumpers/triggers flipped, sensitivy increased, using the Black Ops aim behaviour and a few other tweaks. Keep your game settings how you have them and make the adjustments on the controller. Doing the fine tuning on the controller will give your that improvement and result in better gameplay.

Thanks man ! It started off as a white stormtrooper helmet. I took everything apart and painted it to match my TH-cam colors and ever since I’ve put it in the background of the vids. I guess it’s the channel mascot now lol.

You won’t get that response. That response is for the trigger.

You will need a ps5 in order to setup the controller first before gaming on PC

Yes, that’s correct.

Hello, my hands aren’t large and I feel very comfortable using this controller. I’ve always preferred the PS controllers. I do have to say that it is heavy so if you plan on gaming for hours at a time, you’ll feel the heaviness.

Yes in game is set to default.
Can you macro the buttons, like (R2+X)?
You currently aren’t able to do that.

You can use pretty much any controller with one hand. You’ll just need to find away that’s comfortable for you.

You can if you want to but I didn’t find that it was the best possible setting.
I just got my dualsense edge and I am a bit confused with the controller settings vs the MW2 settings. I've always had my MW2 aim response curve to dynamic. If I leave my controller curve as default yet my MW2 settings to dynamic will the controller 'override' the settings and now my MW2 settings become default? Or will I also have to change my edge controller curve type to dynamic as well.

Hello, yes that makes sense lol. If you leave your controller settings all to default then your in game settings will be active. Now if you have settings changed on your controller and also in game, then both controller and in game settings will be working at the same time.

@@dillonebenstiner yes it is. The controller still remains a DualSense ps5 controller. The edge just has the upgraded features and app capabilities.

Yes but you have to set the profiles on ps5 and they Will transfer to pc

@@jimmyjohnson5835 I’m consistently testing out settings. Currently my sensitity is set to 6, aim assist type set to Black Ops. Button layout set to default, my bumpers/triggers set to flipped and I have auto run on when moving forward.
What mw2 aim response curve do you use in game since you use precision?

Hey I have a PlayStation dual sense edge, and when I use it in Apex I have 0 aim assist… but when I go back to my regular dual sense I have it. Anyone having this issue? Been on phone with Sony ans EA and they just blame each other.

Hi mate, i have the similar problem, few days ago rotational aim assist worked fine, but now something goes wrong and i dont feel any assist anymore. I guess that there's some kind of conflict between in game settings and edge settings... BTW I'm playing MW2

Currently testing that out. So far very similar settings wise but it’s still a beta so knows if they will drastically change game mechanics when the game launches.

Yup, I’m still using the same settings. Been playing around with sensitivities but haven’t found anything crazy good.
For MW2/Warzone, am I able to make the right paddle on the back crouch/go prone instead of the right stick? I only want the right stick to aim. I’m tired of dying because I go prone while shooting and waste a whole clip into a wall and end up dying.
Yes you are able to do that directly from the app.

I got an edge controller recently but I am having a few issues. It won’t slide or jump, pressing in on the joysticks does nothing also. Why is this?
What do you mean it won’t slide of jump ? You are trying to use the paddles ? Have you followed the proper setup procedures ?

Usually the back buttons are mapped to O and X to slide and jump quickly.

Their products are pretty solid but with a few improvements I think that they can be perfect.
Actually the lever style paddle have 2 way to attach
You swap left to right and right to left and it works fine
It prevent accidentally press more than normal attached

Yeah I’ve seen someone use the lever paddles like that. I think people aren’t talking about it because Sony didn’t design the lever paddles to be used like that and it gives an awkward look, you can tell it wasn’t designed to be used like that. I say go with which ever style you feel comfortable with.

Oh damn !! First I hear of these controllers with stick drift. Strange that the controller would be like that out of the box.

@@foreverwanted321 I don’t think it’s the controller quality. Could be mishandling during shipping but the controller is pretty secure in the case. I think could be a fault thumbstick module that was used.

Lol yea he definitely copied u 🤣 I tried the settings with cold war and it's a big change so I'll have to get used to it b4 I decide if it's good...I've been using Linear/Legacy also so changing both the stick movement and aim assist is alot of change
