This happened to me too. I felt like I was forcing myself on my wife to get any sex. It felt disgusting. I am divorced now and don't worry about sex now. I seriously doubt that I will ever get married again. Not worth it.

19 years married and we still have sex, not as often as it once was (mainly because I work 80 hours a week and I'm always exhausted, this economy is terrible). We have sex atleast 1-2 times a week.

Intimacy is the only thing that separates a relationship from a friendship.
I’m 25 and have never been married but I notice it even in my LTR’s the cupcake phase in the beginning is filled with sex which I thought was passionate and her desire for me which it partially is but I now see women do that to get you to commit to them. And eventually after a few months or years the amount of intimacy always slowly declines. I can only imagine how bad it declines in a marriage. Fellas just be a lifetime bachelor western women are NOT worth it.

What you can do in a sexless marriage:
1) Cheat, which will lead to divorce and she takes half your stuff and you wont get to see your kids
2) Leave, which will lead to divorce and she takes half your stuff and you wont get to see your kids
3) Try to talk to her and do what you can to make her happy. Which means a lot of work and conditional sex, which makes you feel like a loser.
4) Accept the situation. Understand that sex is a thing of the past. Focus on self improvement, your hobbies, and your career. Which means SHE will start pursuing YOU.... OR.... The lack of sex truly wont bother you anymore.
I did option four. It worked really well. I lost weight, trained a lot, got a promotion, had some great times with my kids, and got really good at construction and woodworking. After a few months, she started to pursue me. I denied her though. Then she finally saw it as an issue and wanted to work on it.
I would do 4 while doing 1 if 2 weeks have past without s3x
5) She cheats, you stay for the kids, or divorce and don’t see your kids every day.
Why wouldn't you be able to see your kids? You either make time for them or you don't.

Was married for 17 years and sex pretty much stopped so I sat her down and said I'll find it elsewhere unless it improves. It didn't so got it elsewhere. Best thing I ever did for my own mental health.

I told my soon to be wife, "If you ever decide to stop having sex with me I will consider it you telling me to get it somewhere else." Five years later when she began to not make time for me I reminded her. She once again was happy to be available and enjoy.

Usually 1-4 times a week. It depends a lot upon if I eat right and get regular exercise and avoid being toxic. No pills needed. 10-20 minutes, sometimes more. There are times when I just run out of steam and don't reach orgasm. There are times when I go soft, pet and snuggle gently for a while and then regain firmness.

I believe it. How you think matters A LOT! Also women who are on HRT should ask for some testosterone. Works wonders for me! If my husband ever slows down I'll try and get him to get on it but so far he hasn't shown any sign of needing it.

I'm currently reading Ester Perel's "Mating in Captivity" and it seems that this situation is almost inevitable. Most men are "romantic" so desire (lust) and intimacy (closeness) are intertwined. Most women are labeled as "realists" (Perel's term) and for them desire and intimacy are distinct and often opposed. Women use sex to get closeness/commitment. The longer a man and woman are together and the closer (more intimately) they live together, it increases a woman's intimacy and security in the relationship at the expense of her desire. Perel says the solution is to work to maintain a "separateness" and sense of mystery, etc. but as a guy who's been married for 25 yrs, I'm like "F- that". The juice ain't worth the squeeze. I'm too old for mind games.

I agree with you 100% and I think this perspective is not talked about enough. Why spend your life "working" to maintain separateness or anything? A marriage or partnership (ugg) should be a place you can relax, but it's not and Perel is probably right as to what HAS to be done, and like you, I say, is it worth it??
@@cbxxb4841 Treating your marriage as a place to "relax" is what ends up being the thing that most guys run into -- marriage is an "end" state rather than a "next" state. Treating it as a place to "relax" means you stop doing the things that made the girl attracted to you in the first place.

However for guys thinking they are solving a sex problem by marrying their beloved, I would only caution that you are likely creating a different and less tractable sex problem for yourself. Even if you can convince your sexless wife / girlfriend to have sex with you, it's never good sex. Starfish sex isn't worth the trouble. You'll never convince someone to like something (sex or anything else) they don't like. I'm 64 and have been married to the same woman for 32 years. You're lucky if you have a woman who will play along to satisfy you occasionally but it will never be as passionate.

The good news is there are many marriages that are full of sexual intimacy and passion so it’s good and ok to get married it’s just best that a man takes his time to marry the right woman. But for those who are suffering in marriages with no sexual intimacy it’s honestly best that they take a hard look at the situation and ask themselves when to draw the line as sometimes God is giving all the signs in the world that the marriage is over….time to move on and people force themselves to keep making it work, maybe God never intended for certain couples to get married in the first place as most people don’t pray or seek God before jumping into marriage.

I experienced this in my marriage. After a very long period of counseling/discussions, I pulled the ripcord and filed for divorce. Since the ending of the marriage, I have experienced what Rich calls "genuine burning desire". Once you experience that, you will never be confused whether a w*man is into you or not. Wife had apparently arbitrarily decided we will no longer have any sex. Over the past 10 years only I have initiated or actually participated. She literally just lies there. The other day I tried to initiate and was told “I am flattered but have no desire for sex anymore.” I turned and left and she told me not to be mad. I wasn’t mad. Just done. I will now rake care of myself after 30 years of putting others first.

Hi Rich, I've been watching your videos for a couple of years now, and wanted to say how much I apprecaite your content, and its measured approach. I'm now 21, but lost my Dad when I was 12. Content like yours and others on the internet have helped fill the hole that was left when my Dad passed, guiding me through those moments all young men go through when they need some masculine advice. Anyway, I won't go on for too long, but thank you. There's a lot of lads out there like me that need this sort of masculine influence, especially in todays world.
I was leg disabled and her 'love' showed cracks in it's show as she also hated caring for me when I got sick. No kidding. It was minimal help and she often would leave me for hours and never check on me. So be it. I lost weight and look good and when I got more attention for good singing and 5k followers? A man works his ass off for eight hours a day, comes home exhausted, flops on the couch for some rest, and his wife loses respect for him and won't give him any nookie. Yes, times have changed. So don't get married and don't reproduce. The world already has more than eight billion people and doesn't need any more. The insanity grows by the day and shows no sign of abating.

I blame him for allowing it to happen. As soon as he sensed things changed he should have confronted her and let her know if intimacy stops or drops below what we agreed upon (2 or 3 per week is considered healthy) then the relationship is over. In these cases she either loses respect for him or gets bored. Once that happens it is a matter of time before she cheats or leaves. When a man ignores his intuition or just doesn’t want to rock the boat, and it reaches this point it is over.
Most married couples have sex on average once a week. It also doesn't follow that she's cheating-she may just not get as much pleasure out of sex as her husband.

I'm a strong believer now that co-habitation creates hatred from the womens side after a prolong time. Scamflu times proved this with so many break ups of couples and I was in that group of people who split with their gf after covid times. the relationship needs time apart to survive, she needs to have the feeling of missing you in order for the spark to continue
When my wife went into menopause, she lost her libido and sex stopped. After a while, I started to lose patience, and so I went out and started to spin some plates with women. I didn't cheat, but I worked on getting the ladies interested. Then I confronted my wife, and said that I need sex. I said: How about I step out, get the exercise, and that sorts out the problem. She said if I did that, it was divorce. OK, I said. Choose. She went to the doctor and got hormone therapy, and the after a few weeks the sex was awesome. Moral: Show her you have options, and she will get competition anxiety. Things will change.
I can tell you my problem…. My wife changed as soon as we finished the wedding cake.
There is no solution to a sexless marriage. Just leave. The sooner, the better.

Sooner the better, especially when you get divorced, she will take less from you and be entitled to less alimony. if the guy has been for more than 5years with her wife, I would cheat at that point and try to not get caught. If you divorce, she will destroy you in court. She'll take basically every asset you own.

Yep, once it gets to that point there's no fixing. I was brutally honest after getting denied the first couple times and said "if you won't I'll find someone who will" then she acted surprised when I did, then I played the recording of her saying "yeah well then go find someone then" 😂

I cried myself to sleep more times that I can count. I didn’t understand what was wrong with me. Was I that undesirable? Was I repulsive? After those conversations, I just stopped trying, initiating, mentioning sex. We were still loving - holding hands, hugging, kissing - but sex was off the table. He then cheated on me. I was in a 10 year marriage that ended up sexless for years. I fell into the "betatisation through 1000 concessions" trap and paid the price. He's absolutely right on all fronts but the only place I differ is, once you clear your backlog, you'll realise that no woman is special enough for you to commit again. My wife thought I was trying to get transactional sex once because I spent a weekend cleaning the house and mowing and many other things.
