This was such a great episode. This is back in the days before we have Internet to spoil everything so when people got shot or characters died or whatever we didn’t know about it until it happened.
The entire Steve/Rachel "love story' is ridiculous. Steve wanted to be with Alice from w-a-a-y back in the 1960s. After he "died" in a helicopter crash in Australia, he packed up everything and game half-way around the world to be with her again. He wooed her away from Mac and, when he finally got her back, he dumped her for Rachel - the woman he spent years trying to get away from, in every possible respect.
If any of those 4 crappy shows were 2 do that whole ilsa story today justice would not be served because she would have gotten away with it. Because on today's soaps those 4 should've been canceled crappy pieces of garbage crime pays just ask Luke Spencer. Thomas Forrester victor Newman. Sonny Corinth and all the rest . It's a Damm shame that all the truly good soaps are gone while 4 of the absolute worse get 2 live on television good television no longer exist today .
The actress playing ilsa definitely had Beverley McKinsey face I wonder if she could have played iris wheeler if Carman Duncan had turned down the part either her or bring back Beverley. Or Carole Shelly. Or rehire the actress who played ilsa . Or cast Jane Elliot before she went on 2 do that very dreadful days of our lives. Wow Jane and Douglass Watson playing daughter and father on another world. Imagine if Jane was playing iris when Rachel found out that she was the cheif omg and Rachel confronted Jane's iris omg can all you imagine the powerful scenes BTW. Actresses Victoria Wyndham and Jane Elliot. I thought all the actresses who played iris did an amazing job. Beverley Carole and Carman. The latter did a wonderful job in the cheif storyline. Her confrontation scenes with Ms. Wyndham were definitely Emmy worthy but of course no won from AW. won that year in 1989.. because it has to be all about stupid poorly written. The young and the restless. The bold and the beautiful. Days of our lives and pro rape general hospital shame full absolutely shameful.

Jeffrey, it was sad that it took Jason so long to turn his life around and make better choices prior to his untimely death.
He never deserved Tracy & was truly responsible for her death , but it is so sad , but Jason just made so many bad choices
