I passed my test on the RD250 , then went straight out and got a new RD400 in red and white That was nearly 50 years ago and I have had a lot of bikes over the years but that RD 400 still holds a special spot. Great little bikes
I recall the very first overtaking attempt on my RD400. I opened the throttle, hit the power band and almost ploughed into the car in front. A bit of a shock after a couple of years on a Honda 259G5.
Yip .Great fun .My brother had the 250 .I had the 400dx later on and found out they actually mounted the 400 engine 1" forward in the frame to try and stop it wheeling. HA HA HA 😂

Mine was silver and for a 400 it was quick . Only problem was keeping the front wheel on the ground .
