Lovely bike, although I thought the 400C came in Marine Blue not Brigade Blue that this bike seems to be and which was a 250C colour?
I had one in red. At the time they would go as well as a 750. They were so light on the front they would wheelie pretty easily. Brings back so many memories of the past.
Best bike I ever had, never any problems and went like stink. I went in to buy a Jota and came out with the 400E, no real regrets.
I agree, awesome bike, I’ve sold it now but I wish I hadn’t!
@@robertmenghini.Lambomad Yes, likewise. It's long gone but that was and still is a big regret.
Love the sound of it, I had one in 79-84 and then sold it. Wish I had it back. It had a windshield and a sissy bar on the back...wow, the memories....thanks
absolutley superb
Beautiful bike! I learned to ride in that exact model and color. It was a rocket 🚀.... Thanks for sharing!
Very nice color we never got that color in the USA I have a Red 76 no where close to yours but a blast to ride!!
I think the American bikes were in the best colour blue, the UK colour it is nowhere near as nice in my opinion!
Drilled discs, and Allen bolts in the engine casings, not standard fitment so therefore not a "Concours" restoration, but it is still a peach of a bike.
Beautiful bike! Is it American, with the high handlebars and 13 litre 1A1 fuel tank? I had a Canadian RD400 for many years, travelling across Canada and the US. I put over 80,000 miles on it. It could tour with any bike, since it could cruise at 80-85 mph, even fully loaded. I brought a 16.5 litre 1A2 tank from Northern Ireland, which extended its cruising range. The 1A2 tank is taller, which is why I could see your bike has the smaller North American tank. I have no idea why we’d get the small tank, since the bigger one is more useful and looks better, to my eyes, anyway.
Once again, you have a beautiful RD. I rode mine every day, until I got my FZ750.
Thanks buddy for watching my video, glad it bought back memories, yes it was an American import
Ignición electrónica??? Excelente y bonita Yamaha, yo tengo una solo que está deteriorada!
Nice bike, I bet that turn some heads when you take it out, takes me back in time
They never had the polished head fins old mate. Lovely bike otherwise. I've had 5 of these during the 70s & thrashed every one of them to within an inch of their life. Had soooo much fun on them.
Essa é a moto do momento filé toda que pena que eu não aguento adquiri uma
It's the wrong colour. RD400's were never produced in that colour. That is RD250 blue.
I own a smaller version of this bike called Yamaha Rx 135 (1998).
Muito boa mesmo essa 2 tempo a Honda não tá com nada
Wrong colour that is the 250 blue the 400 was a different shade
Yes because it was imported from America, different shade of blue but I loved it! (Sold now, shame!)
Very nicely done!❤❤❤
We never had that paint scheme or color in the USA.
Love the rich blue paint work.
This was an American import so it was a correct colour for USA
Ok, guess I missed that one. Still beautiful paint work.😅
