great that you did one week follow up. I had a similar experience with JB weld fail. My first attempt at water weld also failed. But it was still semi soft after about 18 hours. I am going to wait for over 24 hours next time to make sure it is real hard before I pressurize it....

I have a really small slow leak on copper pipe. and actually purchased some jb weld few years ago never used. Searched jbweld and saw this. Good to know it works and holds. Hopefully mine will too ! Thanks for showing it works

I've successfully used JB "Waterweld" to repair a leaking dishwasher. It's designed for use with water. After 3 mos. it's still holding. That should have been your first choice. The "right product" for the job.

Dude I was skeptical at first but it really did the trick. I’ve since used it successfully on other stuff too. I have to grab some more to keep it around for emergencies. Thanks for hitting me up!!

I am guessing that because the JB Weld setup time is so long, and that you did not turn off your water (from what I could see) that the water penetrated the JB Weld and/or dislodged the product from the area of the leak prior to it being able to setup. I love JB Weld for so many different kinds of repairs, but in some cases, the setup time can create challenges. I was not aware of the KwikWeld that sets up in 6 minutes until recently. The trade off is tensile strength, however KwikWeld is still incredibly strong. I have even repaired motorcycle cases with cracks and breaks and bolt hole slots that have been damaged, metal fences with rust/cancer and the results have been amazing. I keep a roll of fiberglass drywall tape and often use that to reinforce the JB Weld repairs and then layer it as needed for additional strength and that works excellent also.

JB weld original paste and JB weld marine paste, can't set and cure on wet environments, they really need dry environments. There are paste epoxies that can harden even under water like quicksteel paste(i tried it its working) but failed to close 2mm hole on my home radiator. But i guess in your case water weld was the best option. At least proven to work! Thanks for the video.

Any idea why your original JB Weld application didn't work? Perhaps it was because of the warmth and moisture involved with those pipes that just wasn't dry enough to cure properly? Thanks for any insight. I've got a hot water pipe going to our tub that has sprung a leak so I need to find out what will work for that. Looks like beyond patching it, there's no easy way to fix it without taking the whole tub and bathroom apart. Thanks for the video!

We’ll this is probably good for a temp fix so we’ll see how long it lasts. I’m sure there’s better the ways out there. Good luck to you!

Rusted well cold water tank in cellar now has slow drip leak underneath, under 40lbs pressure. What should I use to seal leak after sandpaper used??? Years ago, non pressure drain PVC pipe failed to stop leaking after 7 times resealed with so called Flex seal-- no good product on market! I had to use plumbers epoxy paste that sealed first time.

If it was me I’d try to replace the fitting/s that are leaking if possible. Water weld works pretty darn good or if you can order some Two part epoxy called belzona but not sure what kind of pressures they will be good for.

i've been messing with my stick of water weld and not impressed so far. kneading it for about 2 minutes straight then trying to plug a hole, it doesn't appear to stop it from leaking. it also was not hard after an hour... how long did yours take to fully harden?

Bummer yeah mine worked really well but it took awhile to harden up but once it did it was just like steel. I want to say it took a few hours to harden. Hope it fixes your leak.
