A tip for adjusting your seat. Take a torx socket and undo the 4 bolts holding your whole seat to the floor. Than you will see that there are 3 or 4 positions that you can fit that seat back on. This way you can make a little extra leg room like I did but bare in mind that seat belt will than have slightly less length left.

Great run through of the van, I would have liked a bigger van. Been trawling your channel. Good to see the down south perspectives

Thank you, like you I follow the others guys as everyone has something valid to add and I might learn something useful. I'm hoping not to need any snow chains 🤣

Interesting listening to your comments. I’d been looking for a Transit Custom or Toyota Proace, but saw a L2H1 Vivaro in the dealership at the end of the road, also an 18 plate with just over 13k miles, and collect it tomorrow.
Was surprised how car like it felt to drive, think the length will take a little getting used to, but looking forward to it. Mines not for work, but to accommodate a large dog crate and mountain bikes when I go out riding.

Hey there, love your videos! from your experience so far would you say a citoren dispatch xl is suitable? It's similar size to your van so I'm just wondering what you think,
    Thanks!

Yes mate, no reason the Despatch wouldn't make a good van for this type of work. I can take 3 EU pallets, or 2 UK pallet sizes. Just watch out if quoting on LWB jobs, some need 3 metres length which I can do but only a few items if they fit through the passengers underseat hatch. Ask what the load is and know your vans internal measurements.

Bought my 2017 plate vivaro from a guy who bought it from a leasing company who had it from new. Came out the factory with a over heating problem. While the van was leased out, it overheated so the person driving it poured RADWELD into the cooling system, instead of taking it back to Vauxhall inside the warranty period. Vauxhall refused to honour the warranty because someone had used RADWELD on it. I bought the van with 1000 miles on it, replaced the head gasket and deburred the top of the block which was the cause of the overheating problem.
18 months later still under warranty, the gearbox shaft bearings wore out and it needed a new gearbox £1300. Vauxhall didn’t want anything to do with it !!
A MESSAGE TO ANYBODY BUYING A VAUXHALL VAN WITH WARRANTY ...... BEWARE !!!!

What’s the van like a year on? Had two older models and not without problems.
Now run a movano but a bit big now for what I need. The input would be great👍

Hi mate, I converted it to a pop top campervan so mileage isn't anywhere near what it would have been but zero issues to date.

I've got a talento with 120 hp, now did 20.000 miles and if I am in 4th or 5th gear my gearstick moves a bit when I take my foot off the gass, the dealer said its allright but I am slightly concerned.
    Have you got the same?
Or should You think i should check it
    Thanks ☺️

Does it knock, are there any noises? If there is no noise and you can select all the gears it should be ok. If it is knocking then maybe engine/gearbox mounts worn.

Something I forgot to mention, make sure you remove and copperslip the two bolts that hold the spare wheel cage. Poor design and if you don't grease them up they will most definitely seize up and you will be screwed if you get a flat!

@@stevebills22 there is a switch on the dash, once turned on a green dial appears on the speedo. Then it is controlled by the buttons on the steering wheel. + and minus buttons and R. + engages the cruise, then you can adjust going up or down using + or - if you disengage cruise due to braking etc, R is the resume last speed and takes you back up to the last speed you set. Hope this helps.

@@johnbuffaloiam9741 I saved up before going into this business. I dont expect to be in profit for the first 18 months but I won't pay any tax for this period either. I loaned the business what it took to take off from my own money. The business will pay me back over the next two years which works well for me. You have to look at it from your own point of view and whether it will work for you. If your grandson is willing to graft it should pay off but is it all dependent on location and his work ethic. Its no golden goose but there is money to be made.

@@jimallenjjbsservicesltd2641 you are a nice chap thanks for the tips to pass onto my grandson.
Do you think it would be possible to buy a small van like a berlingo or caddy for £5k and get some leaflets and businesses cards delivered to local businesses and agree a price? The CX exchange app is expensive and ties you in for 12 months.
      Thank you

@@johnbuffaloiam9741 for sure mate, lots of work for the smaller vans. If you can bag a reliable van then yes there is money to be made. The CX is very expensive but I don't see another app that would provide me with enough work. It has certainly paid me back for my outlay.
