I'm 59 years old in Feb. and have been golfing since age 45. I've been watching your videos for about 3 or so months my club head speed with the driver has gone to 109,and I think it will go higher. I'm amazed. I actually feel as though I'm learning a golf swing that I can understand and continue to improve.
Hey Mike - so so happy to hear your golf has improved and you feel your best golf is ahead, certainly sounds like it to me! Keep at it my friend and let me know if I can help along the way. Best wishes Stu
Excellent job Stu in showing how we can unlock speed in the golf swing. I have begun forearm rotation and it's surprising how much distance I've gained from it! I'm a new subscriber to your channel and I'm looking forward to going to your library for other valuable lessons! Happy New Year!
This is a perfect TH-cam golfing tuition video, by you Stuart. It’s succinct, packed full of insights and includes a simple & understandable practical golf drill to reenforce the learning. This is the essence of your Broom videos. It explains why you are different. This whole framework of laying of the shaft, allowing the hands to move out towards the golf ball earlier, deeper giving golfers the ability to retain the loading of the shaft from the backswing into the unloading mid way down in the downswing. All coupled with a dynamic release which combines external rotation of the lead arm / supination of the lead forearm), and lead wrist moving into extension post impact all packages neatly into a new Exit Left motion of the body and arms. Further supported by emphasising the benefits of holding the club more in the fingers of your lead hand further enhancing the ability to pressure down on the shaft to elevate / hinge the club upwards in the backswing and through swing. Removing the need for this modern excessive focus around side bend and driving the lead elbow. Enhancing the body rotation by avoiding swaying off the ball especially with the lower half, by pushing against / rotating inside your trail foot in the move away. Allowing the trail leg to extend as hips move around and inside around & away from their starting position. Your pressure shifts into your trail side while remaining centred over the spine / ball. You finish it all off by the way this new modern golfing framework encourages the golfer to allow the club to swing freely through impact into the follow through. Allowing / encouraging the club to swing to naturally cross over in the through swing, while maintaining the club face to be consistent to the arc. In a comparison of a “Throw” vs “Twist” player I put your methodology more into the Throw methodology but uniquely blending a good degree of arm rotation also. For all those doubters out there what in can say now is they simply do not understand the fundamentally sound foundation and elements which makes your methodology completely consistent and effective. It’s different but in a good way for many golfers who simply can’t get / understand the alternative/ more traditional approach. I have to conclude with the fact this latest video contains the essence of what makes your methodology different but totally effective. This innovative way of using the lead forearm external rotation with a shallow downswing. Just one suggestion. Add an alignment rod on the floor between your toe line and the ball to target line. Then in relation to pre-setting the wrists out in front of you, place the alignment rod on the ground. This is where the hands should arrive over at P6 Last Parallel in a good modern golf swing. Your methodology may encourage the hands half way down / by P6 to even be slightly forward / outward to the ball. But clarity here would really help. Perhaps a follow up video.. Great job I do believe this was good golf instruction once again. Happy New Year Stuart !
Exactly on point to the swing analysis you recently did for me on Skillest. I will add this drill to my work on getting the shaft laid down before starting the downswing. Letting both forearms rotate left through strike is a different feel when one is used to holding off that rotation. I can see it is essential to let the let the forearms rotate left coming down in order to get the face squared up to the path at contact with the ball. I can see why getting this right also promotes better body movement and speed through the ball. Great insight.
@ I have played good golf for a long time, but your teaching has opened up new pathways to better golf for me. More importantly, l understand my own swing much better, and I am a better teacher as well.
This is the number one", FREE " TH-cam golf instructions one will find. Waste no more time, pay close attention, and your golf swing will change dramatically. Happy holidays to everyone
Stu, not sure what you mean at 8:14 where you say "remember..only talking about external rotation...not wrist angles which change the face angle. This is just changing pitch of shaft." It seems to me when I change the pitch as you suggest the face angle is also closing. Can you elaborate more on this concent. I do not see it. thanks
If that’s the case Richard, you’re changing the wrist angles. If you lay the shaft down the face will be facing the floor but it won’t be closed to the circle. Hope that helps.
Physics principle applied to biokinetics..... you are the best and by far ! now the difficulty for you is to stay humble and that is going to be a challenge as I have no qualms to sing your praise ....I am actually becoming a very decent golfer and all of that thank you (mostly ) to your tuition for the past 2 years .......I wish you and family a very great weinachten......Byt the way I would like to buy 2 wedges and a cap ( to honour you ) ......
Bless you Herve, truly kind words. I am going to be as authentic to me as I can, I will never forget how and where this channel started no matter where this journey takes me. Your kind words are truly appreciated and I hope you enjoy the cap my friend. Much love and best wishes to you and your family Stu
That’s it, I’m a unicorn! Broke my forearm in high school and can rotate the palm only halfway past where you would shake hands. Still way more shallow than where I was all summer. Well, the day before Christmas i was given the gift that will keep on giving the rest of my life. I have arthritis/bone spurs in my lower lumbar spine. The back doesn’t hurt but inflammation from it is what is causing the sciatic pain down the left leg. Start PT this morning. There will be some lifestyle changes I’m sure. Looking for longevity now. Have you done or considered doing a video on benefits of swinging like this as it pertains to common golf injuries? Better go get ready. Love your work my friend. Take care, NWH
Every golf video i see on internet try to show something different way of striking the ball....lol How long does it to take to practice and get the timing the rotating the left forearm so you are consistently hitting the ball?
Nothing different here Wayne, form start to finish. I don’t contradict a single message within my content. Watch mine and all your confusion will disappear my friend. Enjoy.
I’ve been a big follower of your channel. But have been getting a lot of left shots. But watched this video and have strengthened left hand more and it actually stops me coming in closed now I have the shaft more in front of me. Liked layed off. I hope this is correct as I am practicing this move 👍
@@GoodGolfCoaching thanks yeah I was more of a high handle hold off. a bit scared of shutting the face. But now know I can if I get arms out in front. Thank you

Love your teaching philosophy. You make the golf swing so easy to understand. Thank you!
Really appreciate that Nick; has to be understood to be applied. Hope you’re well and the golf is on the up and up!

A great drill to add in to my pre-round warm up .. I like any drill that helps with the correct feel - thanks Stu
Thanks Ian, glad you enjoyed my friend!
I’m concentrating on the forearms I feel the rest will take care of its self . Not overthinking the swing.thanks happy holiday Stu.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Thomas, enjoy my friend!

Brilliant Stuart - love it!
Thanks so much Graeme!
Great video, I struggle with ball starting straight and moving to far left. Is this still a good focus for me to work on?

Loads of content coming and all will be covered NWH. Have a great day my friend. Best wishes Stu
Stu, another excellent video on the golf swing. Have a safe, healthy and happy New year. Cheers.
Thanks bud, happy new year my friend.
Interested to understand Bryson Dechambuau swing mechanics. Would appreciate if you can do a video on this.
Will do this in the future for sure. Much to share before talking about “outliers” first though. 😊
Woohoo!! Let's get cracking! 🏆
Go for it! 👍
❤ my missing piece. Thanks!
Love it Gerald! Let me know how it goes. Best wishes Stu

And also. I am right handed. Play right handed clubs. But predominantly use my left hand is that ok
Sounds like you’ve got some solid improvements; this video was about left arm rotation, but if it gave you more I like it!
@@GoodGolfCoaching thanks yeah I was more of a high handle hold off. a bit scared of shutting the face. But now know I can if I get arms out in front. Thank you
Pleasure
But isn’t that creating a timing issue to get the face square at impact?
Every single golf swing requires timing my friend. Don’t be sold down the river, that golf swings are “not” down to timing. Very swing is.
You are turning traditional golf instruction onto its head where it belongs. Well done.
Thank you very much for the kind words.
Awesome. Left hand backhand table tennis feel?
No Sir, very different motion.
@GoodGolfCoaching I have to study it more diligently. My bad🤨
Enjoy 😊
