IVE WATCHED THESE VIDEOS SO MUCH I FEEL LIKE WE’RE FAMILY!!😂😂
😀😂
Such a hard call for me to do. I’ve heard it numerous times in the woods, but I’ve yet to create it lol 😂. Best video on demonstrating it hands down. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos sir and I truly appreciate it. Just helping the average hunter to fill a tag. Thank you 🙏🏻 sir for all that you do!
Thanks bud. What call you running?
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis I’ve been trying Ninja Hammer, your new bladed V, copperhead, and the venom all by Woodhaven. I’m fairly new to this and just been kind of doing a various of calls. I can run the ninja hammer pretty good with most of my luck from it recently. Thanks for all the info, helpful hints and your time sir!
I have been calling turkeys since i could crawl. Your videos are so PERFECTLY done! I always found it difficult for myself to teach others how i call and how to use a call, but when i show people your videos they catch on so quick, keep up the great work Scott very informative and very useful; i actually critiqued some of the calls i have been doing for 20+ years because of your videos and i have benefited greatly so thank you.
+Rob Benti thank you so much Rob. I'm humbled. I'm thrilled they helped buddy. Best of luck on your hunting seasons spring and fall!
Sweet Scott, Great callin. That one of yoour new signature series of calls ??
I still can't quite get the purr and whine exactly like you do, but I really appreciate the effort you put into your instructions. The detail in your descriptions are the best I have seen yet. Thanks for all you do.
Thanks!
We have a mess of of about 30-40 turkeys that gang up each fall. They will pass my deer blind a half dozen times each deer season looking for food, and they are all doing this as they walk by. I've wanted to imitate the whistle and whine but struggle to get it right. This video helps me understand what's happen on our reeds at least.
Yes sir! Thanks for watching and thank you! SORRY this was delayed! I am seeing comments I didn't know were there. I hope the video helped you learn it.
My whining still sounds terrible but I'm getting there! This video has helped. Thanks, Scott!
Thanks for watching! SORRY this was delayed! I am seeing comments I didn't know were there. I hope you have it by now!
I can't count on my hands how many times I have walked up on birds using the contented feed call. Most especially in the fall. I do this when the leaves are crunchy and just taking a couple of steps at a time. This seems to put birds who are just out of sight the impression another bird is feeding towards them and helps keep them at ease.
I totally agree. I'll throw in some clucking and purring also. Thanks for the reply!
@Osceolakillr yes sir sure is!
How do you get that lifelike "hollow" sound? Is it call selection? Number of reeds? Style of cut? Or is it just mouth manipulation? I hear many pros in videos producing that "hollow" effect but cannot seem to find any info on how to produce it.
Breath the word "whit" most any call will do it.
Been trying this call for a year sooooo hard
What call you using?
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis double d
And a Zinks
The double d is a solid two reed amd the zinks is a bat wing
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis I can get the the sound and rhythm but it’s comes out sounding like a cat meowing
Dude was born with a mouth call in his chops.
Thanks buddy
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis thank you for the tutorials!
You should add this to the turkey tech app
Definitely a possibility
This is helpful, what is the single.not whistle I often hear before a pur of soft yelp? It is a lot like this sound but it is a single note.
I've never heard just a single note. Bit probably some sort of whine.
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis thanks for the response! Maybe I'm hearing a "put" but goes high pitch. Might be my ears fooling me. I'm pretty new to successful turkey hunting and calling. I'm trying to learn as much as I can.
What was the name of the call you was using in this video?
It's my New Energy call with Woodhaven Custom Calls.
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis thank you
Have you ever heard of the water drop yelp?...can you do a video on that?
Tree calls?
Hunt Quest with Scott Ellis I never heard of it my brother was tellin me about it and the call you did in this video he said is called the woo woo
The woo woo is the whine. I have an instructional video on TH-cam doing it. 👍
Bubble cluck?
I have trouble with my woodhaven call requiring too much air. Is there a certain way I can prevent this?
Matt, try a lighter stretched call, such as my Bladed V, or Black Reactor. They need very little air. Sorry for the delay.
Thanks
Thank you!
this is one call I just cannot get....it's driving me nuts
20 years bud.
Same here it’s impossible for me
I can’t purr either to save my life
@Keenan Shepherd yep! Go watch ballerinas!
@Bronson Karson oh... really. Teach me. Can you watch monkeys riding dogs on there?
Are you saying will or wheel?
More like "we"
I recently picked up this Call still can’t get that wine
Have you found the sweet spot?
@@HuntQuestwithScottEllis heck noooo I sound like a cat drowning g
