Hey everyone! I put in a lot of research to script this video so I hope it turned out well and you thought it was entertaining. Of course Accustrike darts still have their flaws and aren't the FINAL solution to end all dart accuracy problems but it's definitely a step in the right direction.
P.S. gravity is not the same as bullet drop like I said in the video, I meant gravity is what causes bullet drop. I really wish I could use annotations to explain little blips like this but I use end screens so that isn't possible. K imma stop talking now bye have a great day
Aerospace engineer here, just letting you know that your explanations about all the physics involved were pretty spot on both in terms of the scientific terms you used and the layman's interpretations. Great job!
For the term "altered airflow", this is just referring to the same fluid dynamics that you mentioned later in the video. Fluid dynamics is the science of describing how a fluid (in this case air...yes air is a gas in terms of matter state, but it behaves like a fluid for the purposes of how it moves physically) interacts with other objects (in this case a dart) Usually you might think of this other object as something like a car, a plane, or a rocket, but anything that moves through the air, like maybe a golf ball, is subject to fluid dynamics. This altered airflow is what is generated by the air hitting the "corkscrew" head as the dart flies to generate the spin that stabilizes the dart.
Sorry I nerded out there a bit myself, but I figured given how much research you put into your video you might be interested.

Oh damn so the corkscrew doodads actually make a difference? I mean I guess that makes sense because if the wind comes from the sides of the dart then it can spin easier. But the fact it is said they arent just a gimmick is kinda cool. I love accustrike darts. Can't wait to drop 40$ on some accufakes

Worker darts+scar barrel: Am I a joke to you?
When were Worker darts introduced? And a Scar barrel isn't a dart design (the clue is in the word "barrel"), but it is something that works with pretty much all the dart designs, not just Worker darts. There are also other designs that outperform standard Worker darts.
Ight, the reason a spining dart is more accurate is because it increases the gyroscopic stability, thats fancy phyics words for it doesnt wobble about in the air, the wabeling about while flying increases drag on the part of the dart that wabbled, that not only slows the dart down, but it also bends the trajectory of the dart, thats what makes it less accurate.

Guess: The dart used the special shape on the weight that disturbs the wind which makes the dart spin and act like a gyroscope.
Not exactly the most powerful, that goes to worker darts, but for stock, I love these darts

Well there is a clear answer, longer more pointed tip with extended spiralling, less foam length.
The answer is so clear that nobody has come up with a viable version of it. Apart from scar/bcar extensions, Nerf barrels aren't rifled. A longer, tip adds weight only to the front, making it more nose heavy, and won't stop a dart fishtailing, whilst having the 'spiraling' on the dart itself adds extra drag. Then you have to make the dart both durable and cheap enough that people will buy it.
If you can’t afford fake accustrike darts just get ur hot glue gun and put a little pit of hot glue in your darts and boom homemade accustrike darts
