I like these vans and the Honda Odyssey but I hate the quest...the dodge and Honda are pretty much equal in speed the Honda may be a little faster but basically the same
Even though it has an automatic transmission, it can be shifted manually. From a stopped position, while in drive, bump the shifter lever to the left. That puts it into 1st gear. Each bump to the right puts it into the next higher gear. Just watch the tachometer. DON'T redline or you could damage the engine and/ or transmission. Also, turn off the Economy switch (button to the left of the hazard button).
What do you mean that sucks? Those vans are awesome. I think the older caravans from 2002-07 were the best vans made. Can’t kill em. Peppy and can be used as a work van for many different jobs. Chrysler nailed it with the caravan compared to most of the junk they make.
I have an 2017 Dodge Grand caravan sxt it's fully stocked when they made them from 2012 to now they made it put an more horsepower in the sxt. I had an 2012 Dodge Grand caravan they didn't have the right computer chip so instead they put an 2012 Dodge Challenger computer chip on it

Its tuned for highway cruising from the factory so i doubt 6th gear does anything
I think you had econ mode on ironically enough. Otherwise it should have gone all the way to the red line. It just seemed a bit sluggish compared to what it's capable of.
I got one off a guy who inherited it and didn’t want it... love this van, we are shocked! It’s like a truck and family hauler... lol.. mine gets great mpg, and it will fly! Lol I beat cars all the time! Lol it’s fun... no real street racing just jerks in trucks or ricers as I’m wheeling around... they always look shocked! Lol odd to me, that same engine in a jeep is weak to me? I have been pleasantly surprised, except for alternator going out... that sucked!
I have a 2012 Dodge mini van and I put a flow master muffler, K&N air filter,and a pedal commander.0 to 60 is 6.9 to 7.3. It's not a hellcat but it hauls ass for this old man.
I've put 20,000mi. on my 2014 and it's what I consider to have no problem being fast after 120,000mi. with more than plenty of power. Even at 55mph. punch it and it take off.
Caravans are fast its just some people with odesseys deny and think theirs is fast ive driven both. Not new but 2003 caravan sport with 3.3 and the 3.8 they move fast for what they are i manage to drive an oddesey we had two of them with 3.5 vtec and litterally they both are fun to drive but something about the caravan it feels a tad bit more faster in accelration that you always peel tire on launch the oddesey is only fast at top end that where the caravan cuts out after 70 to 80 mph. The 4.0 they out in the caravan is also insane i believe that was in the 2010 model. And this new one that im just watching aint to bad either i mean its crazy to see a van do that lmao
I have a 2019 caravan gt and a 2001 caravan sport ....I wanted to race for fun ....the 2019 takes it at the light ...but at 40 mph the 2001 sport is faster ....😮😮 I was shocked ...it must be due to gearing ....cause it's only 180 hp compared to my 280 hp gt....crazy
Well actually 3.6 v6 is not really bad...but is 💯 times better than the 2.4 which it doesn’t have the 6 speed auto but a 4 speed auto which it doesn’t help the engine at all and it makes worse...oh well have a nice day!
The dodge dart has a 2.4 option and a six speed autostick transmisson and if you add a turbo you can get 300-310 horsepower stock it's slow as shit but very capable
These 3.6s really start to shine after 3500 rpm.... Drove a '17 recently and was pleasantly surprised.
My mom owns a 2014 Chrysler Town & Country, these are actually very fast vehicles.

The 3.6L VVT is not a dog of an engine. 270-280 HP. They put it in everything and it is a high tech engine for a van.

1st gear is too long 2nd gear is too short, this thing can overtake a lot of japanese ricer stock cars
and 3rd gear is basically non existant

This transmission is geared like an 8 speed. Heck, this whole 6 speed transmission is just a modified version of their 4 speed.

My 2021 odyssey does 0-60 in 6.7 seconds stock, I am thinking about modding it but it has no aftermarket support sadly.
