For me, the King Tiger is the best looking tank of WW2 (Early or Late). It just looks right! I'll let the real historians argue over it's actual agility on the battlefield as when all said and done it didn't really get a chance to show its true ability with the short amount of time it was in service. I absolutely adore the Tamiya 1/16 range. One day i hope to have a full collection....I'm getting there :) I also find it interesting that this 1981 version already has all the holes drilled for fitting "full option" gear. I'm guessing Tamiya must have planned full rc at a very early stage of design.
@littlehistory2392 It was designed as an RC kit. The original was a basic rc version with just running gear and turret rotation. The full option kits only became available in 2001 with the Tiger 1. I have built many of them over the years when I could afford one. Try and add the battle system if you can, it really adds to the fun. 👍💯
