I just binged the whole series. I would say I'm jealous but I know you put in a ton of work on this. I am jealous that you decided you'd take a chance to make this happen. My skill set and tool set isn't at that level haha. That said, I'll probably have to just buy a dead racing cabinet and convert it to MAME/PC racing cab to make it happen for myself. Great work on these! Thanks for entertaining me tonight.
Thanks man! That means a lot, love your videos too. Let me know if I can help in your endeavor! Since Cruisin USA emulation still doesn’t support Linked cabinets I’ve been daydreaming about adding real hardware to these cabs…I already KVM between 3 machines in my MAME cab, how hard could it be LOL?
@@ArcadeAdam thanks! I’ve been keeping an eye out for a dead racing cabinet to use as a donor. It’s been over a decade since I built a PC I may just buy off the shelf to make that easier. If you can pull off switching between real hardware and PC emulation you’d be my hero haha. I’ve looked at it briefly, long enough to realize I can’t pull it off.
@@KillerArcadeGames my current setup taps the IO board on a nighthawk so I can run legit golden tee 2022 using one trackball and a few buttons. I think the only hard part about a racing rig doing the same thing would be finding shared analog values for the wheel and pedals, I doubt off the shelf thrustmaster gear sends XY values that could be calibrated so in that case my plan B would be to add secondary potentiometers to the mechanical bits inside the wheel and pedal assembly.
These are Arcade quality cabs that are second to none!!! Arcade Adam makes the coolest stuff bar none! One day I would love to own something he built! 😜
Very cool! My racing cabs are on hold as I increase my knowledge base. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience. I look forward to the software side of things.
Awesome video Adam! It was great seeing them in action on your live stream and even better to get a behind the scenes look at your building them! Looking forward to seeing some more gameplay in future videos! Keep up the awesome work man!
Have youve ever thought about building these for customers? The options out there are pretty minimal and this is far better than what Ive seen, and ive been looking.
Thank you! I have had a few offers to build these and I’d love to do it but it would probably mean quitting my day job and I don’t think I can make that leap just yet…sure am daydreaming about it though. Closest thing I’ve seen is the buy-stuff store arcade sit down racer.
Fantastic project Adam! I have been eagerly following along! Helped give me some inspiration for my custom twin racers (Daytona style). I'll hopefully have a video up in a few months. I'd appreciate (and by the looks of things from the comments, so would a few others) a tutorial or more info around the Switch games (that is as long as Nint doesn't strike you). Anyway, awesome project. Excellent outcome. Has been and is a pleasure to follow along. WELL DONE! 👏👏👏
You ever try boomzslang's outputblaster? I thinks its mostly just for the light to be flashing for start. Not sure what else it does. Seems cool though. Would be interested in you doing a tutorial video on it in the future. Could be cool.
I just picked me up crusin USA and crusin World. Going to convert the USA into a racing cab. Most likely going to shoot you some questions about yours. Lol awesome racing cabinets by the way!
@@ArcadePirate I love logitech hardware, I have a ton of it. The g29 wheel is great too, however for emulation specifically its a total pain in the ass compared to thrustmaster. Logitech is just trying to do too much with their configuration software and it gets in the way with profiles, etc. You can make it work, I just dont need the extra hassle in my opinion. I have two thrustmaster T-150's on my racing cabs. If I had to buy today I would get the Thrustmaster TMX's or maybe fanatec basemodel but again, fanatec software scares me (no 1st hand experience).
Hi Arcade Adam, nice build! can you confirm the size of your LCD marqee's? your sheet says 28* but the aliexpress link takes me to a 24" panel... cheers!
@@ArcadePirate works great! But I already had one from my ‘sim rig’ if I was starting from scratch I’d consider those $80+ transducers on Amazon or part express and then get a simple signal sensing amp. I use zero of the butt kickers advanced features, simpler might better?
Yuzu for Crusn Blast? Do you mind telling me the version you are using? Mine only starts up correctly like 1/3 of the time and since it takes a while to start, it’s kind of annoying. I also have to use x360ce (do you?) and during nitrous speed boosts, the handling becomes all crazy where the slightest movement sends the car to the edges of the track.
If you just want basic glass, call around to local Ace Hardware stores and ask if they do storm window glass replacements and give them the measurement for what you want. It shouldn't be more than $30-$50 per pane.
This is really incredible. For the linking, are you using bat files with psexec or how are you doing it? I am finishing up the software on my 2nd racer now and I have both Bigbox installs running separate except the 1st rig has extra 2p icons and when clicked it executes a bat to start p1 and a psexec command to start p2 on pc2. It seems to work as a test on my one pc so far and I am about to hook it to the 2nd pc and router here soon. I really wish someone would add Cruis’n (and Rush is 90% of the way there already). I am trying to find someone to pay to work on the networking.
Thanks! I’ve though about using ahk’s to batch start both games on both rigs but I have yet to implement since you can start both up within a minute and so far the link process is forgiving enough. SF rush can be linked via MAME and network TAP adapters but it’s super annoying since you have to break that back down to go back to regular network games
@@ArcadeAdam dang I didn’t realize Tap drops your ip. I tried automating it but apparently as off 2020+, windows 10 has no way to programmatically bridge the connection. Gpt3 also gave a bunch of commands but none worked (as Microsoft last said it is not possible). If you find a way let me know but I just spend an hour and a half ruling out everything I could think of. So that sucks.
What did you do for the bezel around the marquee monitor and main monitor? Is it plastic? The cut looks clean, was it laser cut? I might have missed it in one of your videos?
It’s a product I got off t-molding.com it’s a flat sticky back plastic ‘sheet’ and they sell it in various widths. Good stuff. The structural bezel that holds the marquee screen behind that is 3D printed
@@ArcadeAdam cool, how did you cut it so cleanly? I’ve been trying different tools and techniques and have a hard time getting something that looks really polished

They dont call you arcade adam for nothing! Mind blowingly awesome build. You da man!
Awesome build, per chance can you share the stl's for the shifter and stream deck dash? I've got an OG Cruis'n Exotica cab that needs some attention.

What front-end are you using and what theme is that?
Bigbox with Aeon Nox theme
How are those VA monitors with viewing angle? I am concerned that only the driver will have a good angle view.
My local ACE hardware cuts glass and can order tempered custom measured, dont know if you have them up north.
Hey Adam what exhaust fans do you use on your cabinets? I’m looking at adding some to my EHA megacade.
