@@tiohjingkai3641 i do believe that hard times breeds hard men and hard men breed soft men which then breed hard times continuing the cycle. Tho i did a little research when i saw this and jackie chan wrote in his own book that he abandoned his family for fame. He does say he regrets it tho he is also just sitting here not acting very regretful. Idk i find it dumb and it did make me laugh.

I wouldn't say we can't rather it's rare to see them
Western people display parental/family/elders love/respect In a completely different way and part of the reason is their culture being different from the eastern/Pacific asian population
I'm from Southern Asia and Ive lived in Chicago,Notting Hill,Reykjavik and some of the western parts and Ive always find it surprising the way teens behave towards their parents and sorts but at moments they show love towards them that surprises me
I've also lived Thailand, korea and now currently in Japan and I find it close to how people from my place will behave towards them
It pretty much depends on the circumstances we all grow up

Asian American teenagers that live on US bases in Asian countries deal with these two conflicting cultural differences. The longer they live on the military basis the more Americanized they become and it makes it harder for them when they go back into the host Country.
