I need to get me one of these. I'll be honest, I used to be one of 'those guys' who liked the AE86 but came to better love Celicas. I like the models they had just before they went through with the complete 90s models.
My first car was a 1987 Celica, it was one of the best cars i ever had, and when was at gas stations people would comment on it saying the same. Some people just don't know what they missed out on. I drove it for a while too, did a lot in it.
I got an 87 celica gt I got hit by a tow truck a while back and she got slammed good in my rear a bit of crumpling but she did her duty took it like a champ gonna restore her soon Lenore deserves it I still drive her
that engine sounds absolutely bananas. the response is out of this world. my dream build but itd cost too much i guess and to get what i want out of it id have to change the car a fair bit :/
I had 200hp to the wheels on my completely stock 3sgte... that Trd "engineer" shouldve built a 5sgte rather than wasting time and money on a basic 5sfe.
The 5sfe was a very much tuned down version of the engine thanks to export and import laws. Same block and pistons but entirely different top end. Also these celicas never came with a 5sge given that it wasn't a thing until about 5 years after they stopped 4th gen production

I have to of them and one is hell of fast and its a auto but rebs like a manual and really alot of low end tork

Please don't say 200hp to the crank is a sleeper I mean that's 150ho to the wheels fully built my rear end
