Thank u so much sir! It's really helpful
This was a great explanation to help me understand PPROM vs. PROM for nursing school! Thank you! In my book though it mentions tocolytic medicine to help prolong PPROM not antibiotics. It mentions antibiotics just to treat PPROM for infections.

We use a test called the 'amnio quick' in the UK
Hallo, is it possible that contraction of Covid-19 on 16th week of gestation can cause PPROM and chorioamnionitis on 23rd week?
Hi excellent lecture as always! Can someone please confirm if a vesicovaginal fistula can also cause pooling of fluid in the vagina..more correctly in the vaginal vault and this pose as a ddx for amniotic fluid?
Thank youu💐💐💐
thanks alot. ወላዲተ አምላክ ትባርክህ Ethiopia. S.Africa
I love your videos - helped me pass alot of exams in med school. I now realise you sound a little bit like Jordan Peterson...:)
Are you still making videos, these videos were made 3 yrs ago
Isn't it also possible to have labor without rupture of membranes? I mean I have heard of a few vaginal births with the amniotic sack intact.
Caters Carrots in my country they do artificial rupture if the woman is in labour
beast
Great information however I feel like you should mention the woman's choices and consent for these procedures, especially when you are talking about PPROM after 35 weeks. She should get to choose whether she would like to wait and see if labor begins or if she would like to be induced. Several times you mentioned "I would ..." but didn't teach that it is still the woman's decision to make.
Good point. But, as the description says, my videos are about what to do on board exams, which is why I phrase it that way.
For cigarettes smoking due to vasoconstriction
Thank you for this lecture. Please can you explain further what expectant management means? Or what exactly goes into expectant management? Thank you once again @Paul Bolin M.D
Expectant management can be performed at home...it may include bed rest , antibiotics
