Hairspray is THE best musical EVER. Saw it in London and laughed & smiled so much my face hurt. Even miet Michael Ball outside. If you get the chance go see it!!!!. The girl who plays Tracy (Leanne (Jones?) is amazing.
I;ve seen this twice now and I am seeing it a third time next week and I must say this video does not show off how amazing this song is in the show. They don't look that energetic here...they look confused? When you see the show you get to see HOW amazing it actually is :) Believe me!

They're all amazing, I haven't seen Michael Ball play Edna yet though, when I went I saw the understudy for Edna and Motormouth and they were both fantastic! It's probably the best show I've ever seen, if not my favourite a very, vey close second! So fun

Tony Timberlake (currently playing Wilbur) is so fantastic in this musical! We went to see a show last Saturday and sat on the second row in the stalls, which was superb, expecially at the moment when Wilbur and Edna had to stop playing for a sec because they where stuck in a laugh... Really love the actors and their voices!!! (way better than the recording, with the American cast...)
Michael Ball is my favorite Edna vocally simply because, unlike others, he sings the part rather than saying the words to the beat. Although I do agree that he really doesn't seem terribly into it
it is amazing...i sow hairspray with michael twice! I love it! but i am very sorry because it doesn't exist the soundtrack of the original london cast :(( only broadway cast...
This version seems to be slower than the version performed on the Royal Variety Show 2007. I saw this show the other week and I can't remember if it was this slow or not.

Can someone please answer me a question... it might sounds stupid to ask but - if someone saw a preview of a West End musical, lets take this show for example, if anybody saw the show in its preview run in 2007 - would someone expect to see a souvenir brochure/or program at a preview. Thanks
