    If you ever fancy doing it, I'd love to see a walk round of your kayak and how you have it set up.

      yes I will do bud. I have a few modifications I’d like to make so once I have done them I will more than likely make a video.

    Great video. I've had same thing happen last year with seagull. Had 3 rounds with it before got it free and pecked lots. Was tangled in my braid when I cast out and it flew by. They are a nightmare 😂😂😂

      Thanks for watching buddy.
      it’s the first one iv actually caught before was just glad to see it fly off!
      I was pleasantly surprised that the pecking wasn’t actually as bad as I thought it might have been!
      Thanks again for watching it’s much appreciated!

    Awesome bass session - I do love lures for bass (and also mackerel and pollack).
    I also love the mist, like a big hug from nature shrinking your world to a personal quiet space.
    Beautifully filmed as usual. 🎣🎣

      i love the views along our north coast the mist made it feel really spooky but really nice at the same time!
      I will be out next week hopefully so fingers crossed there's a few fish about.

    Great vid thanks for posting. Good job you crush the barbs. Do you think you e ever lost any fish due to using barbless? I might get the pliers out and try, always frustrating unhooking yourself if you land a particularly lively fish 🙄. Seagull nightmare - think we’ve all been close but guess I’ve been lucky. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
    Well done it seemed OK.
    Beautiful bays. Keep em coming. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 thanks.

      Thanks for checking out the video it’s much appreciated buddy!
      I use barbed hooks from the shore but on the kayak it’s most tall barbless bud just because everything’s a bit more up close and personal.
      I havnt noticed a huge difference in loosing fish although my soft plastic are still barbed as they are singles.

    Hi Sam Great video, thanks for sharing 👍 What rod and reels would you recommend for bass lure fishing from a kayak ?

    • @FISHISLANDTV
      @FISHISLANDTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there matey.
      I would definitely recommend spending more money on the reel as opposed to the rods that would be the main thing.
      reel wise in my opinion you can’t go wrong with a Penn spinfisher or peen slammer as it’s water resistance is truly quiet brilliant compared to the likes of the shimano brands that I have used on the water.
      Rod wise I am really really liking the Penn conflict lure rods. I think they are brilliant and they don’t break the bank.
      I will do a video at some point of the rods and reels etc etc on the Kayak.

    Great video mate. Do you buy the barbless hooks or do you remove them yourself? Must take a while but worth it as the amount of times I’ve snagged my hands on the yak is unreal!

    • @FISHISLANDTV
      @FISHISLANDTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi buddy it’s pretty easy mate I just get Pilers and squash the barbs down fairly straight forward and less time consuming than changing them.
      Although after a while where I have squashed the barb it does cause some surface rust due to the material being crushed with pilers.
      Thanks for checking out the video bud.. defo worth debarking the hooks if using trebles on the Kayak.
