I was just reminded yesterday how I used these silk nail wraps over 20 years ago when I would get my manicures. I always used them to keep my nails strong cuz polish and everything associated always makes my super strong and long nails peel. It’s strange. Even the 5 or 10 free. But you know us Polish Hounds we gotta have it. Lol! Anyway I just thought it was crazy that last night a friend was asking about this very product and here this morning you put a video up. Crazy 😮😮😮
I do the tea bag trick. Basically the same principle. I just cut a tiny piece off a tea bag and then use glue to stick it the break. Works really well! I will say, I find the Kiss glue to be horrible, just like you did. It never dries! Nail glue should be instant. I won’t be buying it again. 😬
Oh no, so it wasn't just me using too much 😅 😬 Well I guess I'll try a different brand next time. I've heard of the tea bag trick too, but haven't tried it.
me too ive done the at home tea bag trick...now i keep my nails kind of shorter so i just give up if they break now and start over lol...but my nails are weak/peely/brittle to begin with. ive never thought of doing the wraps as a strengthner like thruErinseyes mentions below...very interesting...might have to try that when i feel like long nails again.
I’ve used Orly nail repair kit in the past, but just started using silk wraps with resin. After it dries I buff it gently then add a gel base and top coat which means I can do a few changes of normal polish without having to repeat the silk patch 😊
@The Nail Polish Hound oh ok good to know. I might have to try it sometime. I've thought about maybe doing a gel overlay to help keep my nails strong when long, but am still not sure I want the extra work they would require 😅
I'm doing mine later, fed up of nail polish and gels making my nails weaker, rip and chip painfully! Some people use tissue nail extensions, etc. All these techniques will allow my mid to long nails to grow! UK 🇬🇧 28.7.24
I've got to do 2 nails, dreading it. The glue comes off and my nail hurts because it ripped! MUA nail polish, fix up! Your varnish makes my nails tear and snap?! And Zoya Color Lock system, my nails chip and peel. Normally strong nails paper thin and ripped in painfully thin layers! Enough already! UK 🥃🇬🇧😕💅😭

Oh my goodness, talk about perfect timing lol 😆
Thanks for your video, very helpful! ☺️ I think I could hear a kitty in the background too, so sweet 🐈
Oh good, I'm glad you enjoyed it ☺️

Ouchy! That hurts!
I've been using these with Beetles nail glue with a brush. It soaks off very easily without damaging the nail.

Oh good idea! I've just been layering my polish lol 😆 Does the gel hold up pretty well with acetone? I've never tried gel.
@@WildMoonLacquer I try to use non acetone remover as it will come off more easily with acetone xx

@@WildMoonLacquer and you get an annoying ridge as it grows out (unless you’re willing to redo it every time) 🫢
@@TheNailPolishHound precisely what I'd be worried about 😮💨 But trying it over a break seems worth it for next time 😊
It worked!....and very well... Thank you not sure how long it's gonna last lol but it worked
Thank you..awesome video 💅🏾
You're welcome!

Spray seal? Mine didn't have a spray seal 🤔 I just used nail glue
