Hey everyone! So two years on from making this video Cath and I have just launched our very own sustainable fashion brand inspired by travel, called Ortum Clothing. All of the items are made from GOTS certified organic cotton, using renewable power to high ethical standards, with fully recyclable packaging. Whats more, every order plants a tree!
We are super proud and would love it if you checked us out or gave us a follow over on instagram - thanks a lot!

One of my favourite brands for ethically made shoes is ‘Nothing New’. All their shoes are made from recycled single-use plastic bottles, recycled fishing nets and natural rubber

*Hey all! Thanks for clicking on the video to find out about these awesome brands!*
I realise my style is kind of limited to t-shirts and jeans so let me know if you want me to do another video like this in the future looking at a wider range of brands and clothing. 😂
In the meantime here are links to all those featured in this video:
    *One Choice Apparel:* onechoiceapparel.co.uk
    *Illustrate:* www.illustrate.co.uk
    *100 Days Apparel:* www.100daysapparel.com

Please note a few of these links are affiliate links so earn me a small commission if you make a purchase at no extra cost to you - This hasn't influenced my opinion on these brands, as I say in the video I bought and wear all of these myself :)

Thank you for making this video. I know I am late but hey. I had a voucher from work which I was gonna spend on some jeans but you know what after researching I am kinda put off by high street brands. I am looking forward to looking at these places you suggested man. Thanks again. Stay safe during the lockdown bro :)

Hey man, glad this video is still helpful for people! Thanks for leaving a comment and letting me know ☺️ Going to do a cheeky bit of self-promo, but my partner and I have actually just started our own sustainable clothing brand, and we happen to have free U.K delivery this weekend! I only ask cause my Paypal got hacked a month ago and I haven't trusted it. Will defo be checking out though fella :) Nothing wrong with a bit of self promotion ;)

The focus shouldn't just be environmental but also humanitarian as many of these fast fashion companies take advantage of children etc.

Thank you so much for this video! Very helpful. Do you know of any places that make lots of professional wear for the office?

    • @jamieroundtheworld
      @jamieroundtheworld  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Glad it was useful! Unfortunately there is a gap in the market for ethical 'smartwear'... although of course it does depend on what exactly you mean by professional wear. I rarely need to dress a certain way for work so it isn't something I buy a lot of personally!
Off the top of my head I know arthurandhenry.com do some nice shirts, as well as brotherswestand.com - although they can get pricey so depends on budget. For the widest range of clothing your best bet might actually be Marks & Spencers - they surprisingly have pretty good sustainability policies for a big brand including being carbon neutral, using recycled plastic, and sourcing 100% of their cotton sustainably. Hope that helps ☺️

How to make sustainable clothing :
Use print to say "I'm sustainable".
Don't get me wrong. I'm big into sustainable clothing. But please, no more prints..
