Thank you for spotlighting all these incredible labels! Love NARY. We work with a lot of emerging/indie designers from around South-East Asia and the UK, smaller businesses are really doing so much from the ground up. They need more visibility!
I watched your video, reached out to Saheli, and now I'll be doing a long-term immersion with them! Thank you so much for uploading this! Please continue to share and highlight your finds for a better future, a better world!
Another great brand is Kowtow, based in Wellington, NZ 😊 Everything is made of organic cotton, and they have just recently gone 100% plastic free not only in their clothes but in their stores, from swing tags to coathangers to packaging materials
Unfortunately that’s how sustainability works. It’s hard to offer cheap clothes on a smaller scale. The economics just doesn’t make sense. And true sustainability would be one off custom made garments tailored to the individual like how clothing used to be before mass production existed. That was why only the wealthy could afford to have nice fabrics and details. The working poor often had to make their own clothing. And even the rich back then didn’t have that many pieces of clothing. I rely mostly on thrifting and sewing. Though occasionally I splurge on an indie designer.
I visited some of these websites and they are so expensive 😓 I truly wish I could afford to buy them but it's really something that I can't afford maybe some consumers just buy fast fashion cause it's cheap 😕
Is there somewhere I can find a list of brands that sell Saitex denim? Google is being absolutely unhelpful and I couldn't find it on their website, either.
Hi! Hope you are doing well ma'am. Iam also interested in starting a sustainable eco friendly clothing brand. These information are very helpful for me to learn more. If you give any advice to me before starting this clothing startup that will be helpful for me!
Who really makes the money, not the woman who makes the clothes.. if you go to India you can see how much they really make… the labor is very cheap there… and the clothes from all these sustainable brands are charging a lot of money for the clothes…
Yes what you say is true. But being in India I can see things are changing gradually. Sustainability is taking over every part here slowly. There are many sustainable organic brands in India that follow ethical labours standard. And I agree with you on the higher side of pricing few brands they fail on that while affordable one fail on the marketing side and never known even within India. But I am in the process of making one very much affordable. Soon to be launched. ☺😇 Lot of young people like me here are on the path to make this planet more beautiful and peaceful. 💚

Thank you for sharing! It's so hard to pick out "real" sustainable vs "marking" sustainable now days.
It really is!

Love this, thanks for your reviews! What plant-based leathers did you try and were not happy with?
Of course! I’ve tried cactus, apple and mushroom leather! All beautiful but found they lasted a few years vs a lifetime

Saheli Website Doesn't Have A Place To Buy Clothes ☹️.
I don't think you can order directly from them, just through the partners they work with who are all linked on their website! x
❤️❤️❤️

Why is a tube top $110 and an entire pair of pants $160? What is that tube top made of?
