Hi William, yes indeed, I like it a lot for doing SOTA! But out in nature, one can have fun with many rigs.

Great video. I have similar setup. Please can you share the name of the mast base you use? 73 de w6dac

Hi David, glad you like it!
The bright base at the bottom of the mast is a cheap fishing rod holder from Decathlon. This and more information about the antenna used can be found in my portable 7-band EFHW antenna document at hb9sota.ch/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/Portable-7-Band-EFHW_HB9EAJ-V1.2.pdf.
      Have fun!

    Good video. Thank you!
The reason of display like mirror is that cover made from tempered glass not plastic.

      Hi Yury,
Thanks for your information. I'm not a pro in this field, but it seems there is anti-glare tempered glass available, that is also used for screen protectors. As I commented in the video: I can live with it. 73!

@@PortableRadio This means that this glass is scratch resistant but you can
use mate protection film for phones and this significantly reduce mirrors.

    Hi! Greeting from UK.
Really happy to have come across your channel as we have many interests in common.
I am new to the hobby and really keen to lear DX on the outdoors. Your antenna setup looks really practical.
The audio sound of your videos are really good, How do you record it?
    Thanks for sharing.

      Hi Vitor,
I'm glad we have similar interests in common!
Nothing special about the audio. Actually this video was recorded with my Nokia 7.2 smartphone, that's why I could not record the QSOs, because I use it also for logging (VK port-a-log Android app).
      Have fun and 73, Stephan

Nice radio but I hate the audio out of the microphone speaker

I like the speaker mic, one can quickly put it closer to the ear, if the volume is to low or the environment is to loud. But tastes are different. Each to his own.
