Thanks for another TX-500 video Thomas. Lab599 has indicated they had to switch to some alternative ICs due to difficulty obtaining the originals during the pandemic. Hopefully they resolve the AGC issue and release the battery pack soon. Also, your AV gear seems plenty good enough for your style of production. 73

Another small amplified speaker with a built in battery is the JBL GO2. I have one for my /p work and it works very well. Plus it fits into one of those small tacticool pouches along with a 6” 3.5mm audio cable lead. I got mine in red so I don’t forget it on a summit (black and OD are the wrong colors for me for that purpose).
I had another one from Amazon that I wanted to like, but there was a delay in the sound, even through the aux input. The delay prevented me from sending any code at all. That one went back, the GO2 has no delay.

Another Great Video Tom. Well as I've mentioned before i like that you leave your mistakes in there. and the one thing that jumps out at me is yu have similar problems as I do at times with your CW. But it's a known fact that they all are normal. been at it for well over 60 yrs now and still making mistakes. just like in this one I screwed up the "TU" when I signed with you. and I noticed I gave you a 559. rare strong signal from you tome. usually you are mostly in the 229-339 range for me on 40m. so I"m glad we both got good signals on this one. look for you all the time thanks again for taking the time to do the activations and especially the videos love them both. tnx agn es 72/73 de Ellis WA1RKS

Great activation. What speaker are you using? I went to the QRPer link but you dont mention the speaker
So I didn't include the speaker because it simply doesn't work well. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, it loses the AUX-IN audio lock and shuts down at random. Super annoying. All is well here and I hope it is with you and your family, too. So this speaker was given to my wife for music. I replaced it with an even better Sony speaker. You'll , no doubt, see it in a future video.

Thanks! :) No, it's not Chameleon--that is the Spec Ops Brand T.H.E. Pack EDC. I love it. Check the description of this video: there's a link to my field report on QRPer.com with more info! The one that comes from Chameleon is large enough to accommodate all of their antennas, but it's just too big and bulky for hiking. It's perfectly fine for parks and picnic tables, though.
