OK, I have a weak spot for roll-top desks. Great work! Keep doing what you're doing!

I love it!! it is a major effort that turned out brilliant. one option is to get felt and spray glue that to the inside to cover the cotton??? but that is just a suggestion if you wanted the cotton covered up. you could choose a regal colour to make a contrast. you know like writing desks have green or red leather?

Solid first attempt. For the backing, I would have used a slightly thicker canvas drop cloth (think heavy duty painter's drop cloth) and ironed it on after applying glue b4 drying (gets rid of any bubbles/wrinkles) as for the track, heavy paste wax would probably help it move easier. Overall, I think you did quite well, I only offer my suggestions based on things that have worked for me on smaller projects; it's not meant to be critical at all. I look forward to seeing more of your projects.

Great project! Thanks for sharing. I've never looked at the construction of one but your intuition is very much in line with my ideas. Thanks for letting me see it's possible. If I can find room I'll build one this summer otherwise probably a smaller bread box.

Hmmm impressive skill and great outcome, but on second thought maybe I'll just do a simpler foldout secretary desk.

This is excellent; thank you! Subbed👍 Hope you bring us a ton of projects. I'm actually going to make a small desk from cardboard (gotta start somewhere), and for some reason it was really hard to find how to do the articulated part. I really appreciate it, and by the time I move on to woodwork, i hope you have tons of projects for me!

Thank you so much! We got tons of ideas in the pipeline! We were actually just talking about a desk idea the other day! Cardboard is great for prototyping!
