@@OdysseyOffroad honestly the stock skid plate has always worked well for me. And the rear swing arm guard is super heavy duty plastic with a really nice chain guide. I thought Yamaha built it really well.
@@DUNEATV the swing arm gaurd i find to be fine but if you hit a rock on the stock engine skid plate your losing an engine case it flexes all the way to the motor when pushed on by hamd and is way to thin. Then again your bike only ever runs in the sand dunes so you could run aluminum foil on yours . 🤣🤣
Case Saver, Stabilizer, some flex bars, a full exhaust with a vortex, and preferably some width extension wether that is an Extended Axle, and A Arms or spacers. Perfect little rider.
the first ride on my 22 yfz450rse i didnt even put gear on , because i didnt want to scratch it and the whole weekend i didnt go over 50% on the second day . the second ride was at a race all stock i got 2nd with a bent tie rode 🤣🤣
I can't imagine riding in 100 degree weather! I get worn out just from the 80 degree stuff lol hopefully Little Sahara isn't a billion degrees this year, it's my first time going. Can't waittttttt #savesportquads
@@Nomadic-Nerds yeah I don't ride too much during the summer cuz of the heat but I got to get out sometimes. When you do you got to do it early for late unfortunately on this day I was riding at around noon LOL
Yes.. the gental side of odyssey off road on a leisurely completely stock ride ride. Amazon shopping cart is currently full of mods! He’s getting notices that the cart is too full!
I’ll say I do not miss having a stock machine lol once you’re in a group that all has pipes it’s a guessing game on if the machine is even running half the time lol 😂 I did my yfz the same way. All safety and comfort mods first. If I had a raptor I’d do it the same way then do suspension and widen it out so it handles like a yfz then add power later
@@OdysseyOffroad I can’t say I’ve ever been on a stock Raptor everything always has the big 3 that I’ve ridden. May have to do a little swapping at little Sahara so I can see what it’s all about lol
would love to test drive the 2024. i have a 2020 but fixing it up because someone stole it and actually got it back almost 2 years later and have alot to fix on it.
congrats on the new raptor great video keep them coming iv been watching your vids since your 2020 raptor days ....what kind of gas do u run is it the cheaper or do u run 93?
First thank you for watching for so long I greatly appreciate it! i Run premium fuel. Around here that is 91 octane. unfortunately its extremely hard to get ethanol free fuel near me so i do make sure to add an ounce or two of seafoam or marvel mystery oil to the 5 gallon fuel jug.

Raptors need a case saver and steering stabilizer…that’s it in my opinion! Sweet ride buddy!
don't forget a skid plate!
