FYI.. If you are not familiar with Dubai, it is mostly reclamated areas and a Filipino Engineer was one of the heads of building Dubai into how it is now.
And currently, that Engr has been commissioned by the current gov't to do exactly what he has done in the middle East. So don't worry

FYI.. Coconut Palace was built during the time of Pres. Marcos Sr. The father of current Pres. During the 70 s and the 80s, it was where the first couple would hold dinners for the foreign dignitaries who visit the Philippines and its main purpose was to show them the cultures of the Philippines.

There are four reclamation projects in that area of Manila Bay. First, the New Manila International Airport, also known as Bulacan International Airport; then, the Horizon Manila, a new smart international city; then, the extension of SM City Seaside or Pasay Harbor City; and finally, the Manila Waterfront. The second through fourth projects are projected to be finished by 2028-2029. It is all part of decongesting the city of Maynila to bring its old glory back. If you are not aware, the city of Maynila is the capital of the Philippines, so the national government wants it to be a world-class city again.

That dilapidated building you've been through was the former Manila Film Center. during the construction of that building hundreds of construction workers were buried alive under the quick-drying cement when the scaffolding supporting the slab for concrete pouring collapsed. When we were young, it was our dream to experience watching foreign movies (Rated R Films) from abroad that the government allowed to be shown😁 sad to see the present condition of that building that was once a showcase and one of the Grandeur buildings including the Coconut Palace, Cultural Center of the Philippines and the Folk Arts Theater of the Philippines.
